I don't mind Hope supporting her dad, BUT (General)

I hope she won't be team Sheila. Or expect other people to accept her. This would be too much. She can love her father, show him support and want him to be happy. She can even attend his wedding to Sheila and be cordial to her, I don't have a problem with that. She is naive but this is how she is. She loves her dad and believes in redemption. If Deacon wants Sheila, she should be supportive. But she shouldn't give Sheila another chance. I don't want her to start praising Sheila and letting her think she can be in her life if she marries his father. I don't want to see her trying to change Brooke, Ridge, Liam or Steffy's mind about Sheila. Forgiving people like Deacon, Quinn, Bill or Thomas is one thing but Sheila is in a league of her own. Wasn't too long ago that she was holding scissors and ready to snap Hope in 2. She can give her dad her blessing without accepting Sheila and welcoming her into her life.

2 other opinions I have about the last episodes...

This fake friendship with Finn and Hope needs to stop too. Finn only seems to care about himself and what he wants. He isn't giving her friendly advices and I sure hope it won't lead to more but even a friendship is dumb. Finn is too selfish, and dumber than a box of rocks. Hope doesn't want to deal with another mother-in-law from hell, she was miserable with Wyatt because of Quinn, and Sheila is 100 times worse than Quinn... at least Wyatt was able to keep his mom on check and set boundaries... something Finn apparently can't do with Sheila. Hope doesn't want to be with another man who loves Steffy, right? She blamed Liam for the end of her marriage because she thought he wanted Steffy (even though he chose her over Steffy over and over again, but whatever....), so I can't imagine her stuck with another guy who has a child and history with Steffy. I'm not saying Thomas is the answer but Finn would be even worse. I also wish Finn will stop blaming Liam for all his marital problems and take some responsibility for once. Since Lope signed the divorce papers, Liam hasn't done anything sneaky to get Steffy back (other than that one isolated episode in November when he told Steffy he knew they'd eventually find their way back to each other... and Steffy stood there and said nothing). I don't get how Liam can be seen as the bad guy at the moment. His scenes with Steffy are mostly about Kelly and her problems with Sheila. If he was truly determined to ruin Steffy's marriage, he would have been more assertive and done something by now. Finn and Steffy are ruining their marriage all by themselves between her feelings for Liam and his for Sheila. When he got caught for hugging Sheila, he spent more time whining and fighting with Liam than owning his wrongs and doing the right thing. If Steffy leaves him and decides she wants Liam back, it will be his own fault and Steffy's fault, not Liam's (unless he starts manipulating the situation and I doubt he'll do that).

And one last thing about Sheila... I question whether TPTB is serious about redeeming her. It seems that way but I still have doubts. Some details about her story are still disjointed. How could she survive for nearly 2 months without drinking? How did she know Sugar would try to kill Steffy? How can she say she was trying to protect her? I'm not buying any of this. I think the main purpose of this story isn't Sheila's redemption. It's more about exposing Deacon and Finn's stupidity and Steffy's divided heart. Finn has to look very bad so Steffy can have valid reasons to run to Liam. They can't have Steffy cheat or abandon her husband for no reason, so Finn has to look more selfish than her. He will blow up his marriage and then I assume there will be a twist about Sheila. Something about Sugar will come out (I don't know what) or she'll snap again and show her true colors. That's how I predict this story... Finn and Deacon will have egg on their face and Finn will be crawling back to Steffy but it'll be too late. She will be unavailable by the time Finn realizes he screwed up. Until Liam cheats on Steffy with Ivy and hands her back to Finn, probably. Will Liam-Steffy-Finn still be the triangle or will it switch to Ivy/Liam/Steffy and Thomas-Hope-Finn? None of this looks very exciting, either way. But regarding Sheila, I don't think this redemption will last. She was born to be a villain.

Finn hasn't even mentioned Liam's name once these past two weeks; therefore, I do not understand where the whole argument that Finn is blaming Liam for his problems originates. Also, Liam has spent MONTHS from Rome up until the day Kelly had a play date and went to Il Giardinio trying to convince Steffy to leave Finn for him. He has kissed her three times. I would hardly call it "doing nothing" in terms of interferences.

If Steffy leaves Finn, that's on Steffy, NOT Finn. She is a grown adult. Finn could become Sheila Carter 2.0 and become just as psychotic, and if she turns to Liam and gets back together with him, that's on her for being dumb enough to return to the man who enjoys cheating on her and mistreated her for a decade.

Great post. It's about time Steffy be held accountable for her choices. If she goes back to Liam she will have only herself to blame when he dumps her again, as he inevitably will.

[/b]

1. She had some food and water. Sugar had gotten food from the convenience store. That's when Tom saw her. According to him, when she entered the building, and shortly after, the screaming started and didn't end for days. I think Sugar just got enough for her to survive a few days while she caused mayhem. Also, she was chained and had to struggle to get to it. Finn found a bottle of water to give her that was out of her reach.

2. She knew she was going to kill Steffy because Sugar said she was going to kill Steffy and the children. They would be her first victims and then demonstrated that she could also mimic her voice. he could imitate her voice, which implied she may have had more planned.

3. They showed us Sheila's memories, which showed her begging her not to kill Finn's family. In the past, when they have shown us her thoughts, they have always been accurate. We always know when she is plotting and scheming or lying.

It doesn't feel like you have watched the episodes I don't know what the plan is. I suspect this is a serious redemption, but no, it probably won't last forever. I do think it will last long enough that the things you are mentioning won't matter anymore. A lot can happen in a year on this show.

Why not - she did exactly that with Thomas! I suppose he was the only character worthy of redemption.

I saw all of Sheila's history and all of Thomas's history. I am sorry, but there is no comparison. Sheila has had a long history of crazy. She has already had many realizations, epiphanies, and has claimed to have changed and been cured many times. She has already had chances for redemption and failed many times. Thomas has gotten therapy, has not done 1% of what Sheila has done, and deserves the same chances Sheila has already wasted to prove he has changed. Sheila is not new. She has already proved to be incapable of change. If Thomas eventually proves to be irredeemable like Sheila, then we can compare. He's not even close right now.

I don't think how Hope receives Sheila is a big part of the story right now. It's all about Steffy and how she reacts to Finn's "amazing" news.

Hope can just go about her life...until or unless Steffy boots Finn out and he turns to Hope for a listening ear.
