I think that kind of writing is the reason KKL didn't get an emmy for that rape. The writers spent too much time oversexualizing Brooke and then not taking abuse of her seriously. They did take the rape seriously but the other things they did to Brooke just diminishes it, imo.

IIRC, Brooke was very upset when Ridge slept with her while she was drugged. Nick and Ridge has a slugfest over it. I think the reason Brooke didn't say Ridge's name is because it was long ago and she did forgive him. In Ridge's defense(RM btw) he had no clue Brooke was drugged. Zende didn't either but the difference is Ridge had a long standing relationship with Brooke even though she was with Nick at that time. He had been pursuing her very hard. Zende made approaches to Luna and she turned him down flat. Zende knew Luna was in love with RJ.

Did Brooke show up in Ridge's bed or did the situation make it "seem" to Ridge that it was okay to go have sex with her? Because, for me, Zende might be bad for betraying his cousin, but he invited Luna and the scene gave the impression that she accepted. Not his fault.

I think I do remember that scene of Brooke and Ridge just as you wrote and I remember how devastating she'd been about it afterward. I think her dad even knew and wanted to kill Ridge.

I wish instead Brooke had talked to Luna from the perspective of when Ridge had taken pills and slept with Taylor instead or when she'd taken the berries with Thomas and neither of them had known heads or tails. Even though there was no sex then, Brooke could understand Luna hallucinating etc and talk about that.

It's just this plot is trying so hard not to have villains but have villains at the same time, and I don't buy it. It's trying too hard to have victims but not have victims at the same time.

For example, Brooke telling Luna she was in a "safe space" was outrageous. Safe from what? Zende was a jerk and didn't think to respect her relationship -- even if he did think she wanted him -- but he did not force her, drug her, or physically harm her, he did not invade her home, and he did not know what was really going on. So why would Luna feel unsafe?

I don't know who Brooke was talking about, but I just had another thought. It couldn't be Andy. because "taken advantage of" is way too mild for what he did to Brooke.

The plot confuses me because it's like they want to toss Zende under the bus, drag him back out, and then toss him back under there over and over again.

It reminds me of when Steffy's parents kept insisting Bill had done something to Steffy no matter how many times Steffy accepted responsibility for sleeping with Bill.

I don't get why characters do that. And frankly, I'm over people blaming Poppy as if she shoved mints down Luna's throat. Carter had no right being indignant about Poppy and her mints, and I beg the writers not to have Brooke go accusing Poppy, either. It's overkill at this point.

Bold shouldn’t try this ever again. I just want Luna and RJ to go away. The show damaged Zende for nothing. They did it for shock value, but no one thought through. It doesn’t appear anyone thought through how they wanted to run this story. It’s in my top five of the worst stories ever told on the show.
