How can this ever be fair? Katherine Kelly Lang is overdue for an Emmy but she didnt have a major storyline all year. Ashely Jones was on for just a couple episodes and JG was just on for a few more, they got nominated but Kimberlin Brown wasn't? Love or hate the character of Sheila Carter, Kimberlin Brown does an excellent job and deserves a nomination for her iconic character. This is very unfair.

I think SK will.

Also, nothing about the Emmy process is fair. I think the process is often more about strategy.

It is nothing but a popularity contest where a bunch of the most popular high school kids go around trying to get their "peers" to vote them Prom King and Queen... I often scratch my head when some of the winners are announced, especially when I watch the other shows.

I have heard rumors that for some of these award show, that actors and actresses "Bribe" the judges with high end gifts to get their votes. It is really hard to take these shows seriously. That is why some actors and actresses refuse to send in reels..

I remember when KB was nominated for an Emmy, She was the one who was highly favored to win and they gave it to Ellen Parker instead. I remember KB's work that year was so much better than EPs.

To be honest, wouldn't surprise me. I noticed sometimes many soap critics highly praised a certain actor/actress to win their catagory, but someone else unexpected wins instead. Oh well, it is what it is, I guess.

As for Kimberlin. She deserve tons of daytime Emmy Awards for her role as iconic villainess Sheila Carter.

Maybe she didn’t submit. For all we know she’s already taped upcoming scenes she considers more worthy and plans to submit for 2024.
