Seems like maybe he finally realizes that is why he lost Hope. It also proves that Hope's feeling have been validated by Liam himself and that is the true reason he lost his marriage to her.

That's what I saw. If anything, I think this was about steffy, not about Hope. And in that respect, yeah his waffling between hope and steffy summer Kelly was born did cost him. The cost of his relationship with steffy. I think that's what he's talking about.

Yes they both would throw him away and pull him back in to one up the other on more then one occasion not to mention getting involved with his family members for some kind of revenge while claiming to still love him.

It was pretty funny and somewhat shocking to hear him say bluntly he’d waffled. He’s right about one thing, no dad ever wants their daughters to be treated the way he treated both Hope and Steffy.
