Trial for what? Someone enters my home uninvited and then doesn't leave when I give them the chance...it's not going to end well for them. Not to mention, their face is covered in a black veil and they lunge at me. Like the character or not, Steffy did NOTHING wrong.

If Deacon would tell the cops how Steffy assaulted Sheila two times in their home and told her that she wishes her death there would be a trial but Steffy is so privileged even Deacon won't tell on her.

It is the goal of a trial to establish if it was a self defense, not Steffy's or Ridge's claims. How Police would know the person was uninvited? According what you say, everyone luring in their house a victim to kill would be able to get away with it.

Sheila or not, she was lurking in the bushes first, then broke into Steffy's home by night, dressed all in black, she said Steffy is going to die that night.
I believe everything is Sheila's scenario and as usual she doesn't give a damn who's getting hurt.

It doesn't matter what Steffy did earlier that day. Sheila had no business being in her home. She was an intruder in her home who refused to leave, refused to speak, and was wearing a black veil.

The only way Steffy was ever going to be charged was if there was evidence that made it look like she had set Sheila up maybe a text message or call in Sheila's phone from Steffy or a stuffed animal Kelly forgot.

I realized earlier this week that wasn't the direction this story was going when they started questioning why Sheila would do this—and pointing out why it doesn't make sense. This show is about as subtle as a sledgehammer. They pointed out the odd behavior leading up to the reveal that it wasn't her.

I still think something is coming for Steffy, and I would rather it be something she did wrong, not something that she would eventually be found innocent of anyway.

Oh in real world that would matter to the police and Steffy didn't attack Sheila only on the day she killed her. She also did it before... Steffy would also have to prove that Sheila wasn't invited and she also had no business assaulting Sheila in her home. Sheila had no weapon. I get that Steffy had a lot of reasons to hate Sheila, but her behavior would not be ignored by the police that easily.
Yes, something is waiting for Steffy and we already know what... Sheila is alive and we will have the same old stuff again. Steffy freaking out, SInn having problems, Liam telling Steffy she will never be safe with Finn yadda yadda yadda. I was looking forward to see Steffy in jail at least for a week to see that bully getting a humility lesson, but no...
