Not ready to marry "the guy..." (Spoilers)

That line reinforced the problem with the story.

First, what the hell are Luna, RJ and Zende doing discussing Hope and Thomas' personal business? They need to be delousing the office and moving on with the business of the day.

Second, did RJ really just say no one could blame Hope for not being ready to marry "the guy" as if Thomas was just some rando and not RJ's brother? Why to compartmentalize his siblings being in a relationship, writers!

I think it's pretty realistic. Thomas and Hope are RJ's siblings. Why wouldn't they talk about them?

I don't see RJ saying that nobody can force Hope to marry Thomas as something wrong. She dated him few months and claimed to take things slow. If those would be the 50's I would understand the outrage, but not today. I think that Steffy, Ridge and Thomas are actually abusive when they expect Hope to be ready and see her not being ready as a crime. Hope's biggest crime was starting the relationship with the abuser that harmed her family. Wanting to wait for marriage was not a crime. I am actually happy that at least RJ is a sibling that doesn't think that the world needs to revolve around Thomas and his demands. Hope was stupid to believe Thomas when he said that he is able to wait, but it's not her fault that Thomas lied.

I'm a little confused with your 2nd sentence as Hope and Thomas were together since July 2023 and their relationship was more than "dating" considering they referred to themselves as a family of 4 and Thomas was someone she was considering having another child with.

I think the show purposely have RJ called Thomas "the guy" because he IS BLOOD related to both Hope and Thomas, so the show wasn't gonna have RJ say my sister Hope isn't ready to marry my brother. Lmao!

This reminded me of when Steffy and Thomas's mother Taylor was banging their grandpa Eric. The Tridge brats have been calling Eric "grandpa" their entire life, except when their mother was banging grandpa, then all of the sudden, these 2 brats started calling grandpa "Eric".

Right. It was VERY strange to me to hear RJ say, "You can't blame Hope for not being ready to marry the guy..."

I mean, he didn't even refer to Thomas with a name in that sentence. It was so detached. I haven't seen it all, so I don't know if he acknowledges that these are his siblings eventually or not, but he really minimized Thomas, calling him "the guy." It was strange to me.

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG! I sitting here wondering if I am in Bizzaro's world right now because of her. Hope is a piece of freaking cake and not the good kind --- the fruit cake kind.

She seriously stood there with the man she gambled the whole family on for sex and said this. And put Douglas WAY above Beth as if Beth doesn't even exist! This bitch is a trip blaming all this on Steffy. The icing on the cake is her saying she would have given "anything" not to hurt Douglas. Oh, anything but her hand in marriage!
