After Hope left Ridge and Brooke she started trying to manipulate Thomas telling him she wants to spend every day with him, to laugh with him, to make love to him. He makes her feel like no other man ever has, and then started using sex to reel him in. Steffy is right about Hope being like Brooke because she is using sex to get what she wants.

Hope wants all the benefits of a committed relationship without the commitment. How is a marriage commitment different than what she said she wants? If she can't say yes to marriage, why should Thomas say yes to what Hope is "proposing"? Also, Hope said that Thomas makes her feel valued, appreciated, etc. She says she's lucky to be the woman that one-woman Thomas wants. What is she giving Thomas? I don't think that he feels valued, appreciated or can be confident that Hope is a one-man woman. Hope wants things to go back to the way they were before Thomas proposed, but I don't see why Thomas should accept that. Hope has been calling all the shots in the relationship. What ARE her intentions? (Good question Ridge, and one that Hope didn't answer). Hope and Thomas are not on the same page, and she's made it completely clear that she's not going to marry him, so the mature thing for Thomas to do is to separate himself from her and focus on himself and Douglas.

Huh? She has been saying that since she rejected another proposal and she realized she was not going to be able to control him with beard rubbing, and tickling the back of his neck this time. LOL. She has said she loves him to everyone but the people who clean the offices at FC. She only said it out of desperation to reel him back in, and I don't think it is working. LOL. She must feel pretty gobsmacked right now, she has been saving that in case she needed to use it, thinking that would be enough to appease Tom for a long time. She was wrong. LOL. Good old Steffy came to that knife fight with a cannon, while Hope showed up with a pea shooter. I don't like Steffy most of the time, but she really is the BIG dog when it comes to junkyard fighting.

Does she really love him? It seems to me that she said it because she was afraid of losing him. It was said at the last minute as she was turning down his proposal. Suspicious timing. And if she does love him, what is she doing that shows it? Everything she said today was about how Thomas makes HER feel.

She told him she loved him to appease him....that was obvious. She keeps yammering it to everyone that is within earshot, I am surprised she has not told the janitorial staff at FC that she loves Tom. But, the woman never ever says "I am IN love with Tom, and want a life with him forever, but I don't want to move too fast" In fact, she looked down and away when Ridge asked her what she was doing, what her intentions were with Tom.

At the end she said "I love you, and I don't want to lose you"....I believe that, because HFTF would be in a bad place, and then Hope would have to face what she did to her marriage when she cheated, and what she has been doing the last 8 months. She does not want to face it.

Think Hopes self centered and toms no longer content with a daily sex job romp.

Hope is all about Hope, and no one else. Thomas shouldn't be content with the status quo anymore. What Hope is doing is insulting to Thomas.

I see nothing wrong with that she is absolutely right to think about herself and what she wants

But if she loves Thomas, as she says she does, she would be thinking also of him and what he wants and needs. She would be thinking of what she could give to the relationship. She is not doing that at all.

Correct. I don't get why that's such a hard thing.

As he should not be. Hope used him like a dirty sex toy, as bad as Quinn did Carter, and has the nerve to tell Steffy it isn't true! SMH

Thomas should be tired of that and want more.

I so disagree with your comment that Brooke uses sex to get what she wants. Using sex seems to suggest a transaction in which one person gets nothing but the sex and the other person benefits from the sexual act. Sex for something in return. Like have sex with your boss to get a promotion. I don't find Brooke like that at all.

I've seen Brooke use sex many many times over the years to get what she wanted. It doesn't have to mean that the other person gets nothing from the act, but it is using sex as manipulation if you are trying to get something you want.

I have not seen Brooke manipulate for the sake of sex. I have not seen Brooke have sex with a man to reach any kind of professional end. I have not seen Brooke use sex specifically to get a man. What man did she even get from a woman through sex?

Today, when Hope said, "You know how you always say you're a one-woman man?"

I SO expected her to say, "I get it because I'm a one-man woman."

Ah, but she didn't. She couldn't because she's "still processing....":-P

If she was a one man woman that leap of faith could not have happened without Talking to Liam first certainly

Not as fast as it did in fact she would not have been able to jump in bed with Thomas with out giving Liam some time to process what he witnessed in Rome.

I disagree. I’m not a Hope fan, but I don’t think she is deliberately manipulating him. I think she really thinks she is in love with him, but she is very mixed up. I mean, how can she not be -what mother would want the man who kept her baby hidden? And what’s the big deal with her not being ready? They haven’t been together that long, why should they jump into marriage? Just because Thomas wants it? These two have been living in la la land, just having a good time and not on the same page at all. They’re both nuts.

I do not think she is "in love" with him. She loves him for what he does for her. Very different, and her conversation with him today showed that. She doesn't talk about him but in terms of her romantic employee.

What's the big deal about her not being ready? Nothing. What's the big deal about Thomas leaving her if she isn't? They haven't been together that long. Why should he stick around? Just because she wants it?

Well, an obsession would be indicative of waiting.

He has waited 7 years according to Beth's age. No one should blame him for wanting to hang it up. It's his right, and like Hope keeps telling everyone, no one knows what's between them and how they feel.

Personally, no one should give up years waiting on another person. That's incredibly unhealthy and it's not love if that other person wants them to wait for something that might never come.

In fact, it's cruel, and if the situations were reversed, no one would expect her to wait around for Thomas if he weren't ready just like they don't expect Hope to wait around for Liam to stop loving Steffy. It's the same thing, waiting around, not feeling like enough.

So if he loves her, why wouldn't he be willing to wait? He loves himself more? He's prioritizing himself the way she is prioritizing herself? He feels that his needs matter as much as her do?

I agree that Thomas prioritizes himself... As we saw he even prioritizes himself over his own son and we saw how he didn't prioritize Hope when he harmed her and wanted to condemn her to a life of a grieving mother. lol

If he loves her, why isn’t he willing to wait for her? Maybe he’s not in love either, just obsessed.

He waited 7 years, but for Hope it's a fresh feeling. I don't understand why everything should revolve around only Thomas's feelings? If for him Hope should be as ready after few months as he is after 7 years then he should just go to hell.
I agree that Thomas prioritizes himself... As we saw he even prioritizes himself over his own son and we saw how he didn't prioritize Hope when he harmed her and wanted to condemn her to a life of a grieving mother. lol

And I don't understand why everything revolves around Hope's feelings.

If he went to hell, hopefully, Hope will follow him. He's not going to hell, but he will consider going to Paris

It doesn't have to. Thomas is free to leave, but this whole acting like a victim is ridiculous. He is no victim. He can leave without acting like Hope is the monster in his story just because she isn't as ready as him.

Then it doesn't have to revolve around Thomas, and Thomas is not acting like a victim. He's not acting like a monster, either.

I disagree. Imo he is acting like a victim and this is how Steffy and Ridge see him. He should remember to apologize to Hope for lying that he is able to wait and that he is okay as long as she is in his arms before he leaves LA.

I disagree. IMO he is not acting like a victim and it's not how Steffy or Ridge see him. Hope should remember to apologize to him for lying that she wanted to be a family with him, Douglas, Beth, and her and that she was taking his proposal under serious advisement before he leaves LA.

Okay, I see it differently and that's where we just won't agree. I will especially not agree that with the part that Steffy and Ridge don't see Thomas as Hope's victim. That's pretty obvious to me that they do see him as one and that's why they attack Hope.
Hope and Thomas are family so where is the lie? They share a son and they were a family even when Hope was married to Liam. They will continue to be a family as long as Hope is legally Douglas's mother. Since Beth is Hope's daughter she is a part of that extended family too. Hope said that she needs more time and there is no proof of her not taking his proposal under serious advisement. Thomas lied about being okay with giving Hope time and that is something we can't deny as he said it loud and clear more than once. He is the liar and only he needs to apologize.

But they’ve only been “together” for less than a year. In a healthy relationship, they would talk it out. She would give him some kind of timeframe, as he would to her. They are lousy communicators. Don’t get me wrong, I hate Thope. I want them to end.

I don't see how it matters how long they have been together. Thomas has been trying to get her ever since Beth was like 3 months old. That's a fact.

Because if Thomas would really love her he would understand that for Hope it's a fresh feeling. Not everything is about the tridge brats and their "feelings".
He should be amazed that she's even in a relationship with him in the first place. She should treat him like Steffy treated Sheila if anything.

Exactly. Just because he’s been obsessed for years doesn’t matter. She’s only “loved” him for less than a year. They really are not on the same page.

Not exactly. It does matter because Thomas, the other half of the relationship, has a different perspective and different hurts, fears, etc, and Hope should care about that. but she doesn't because she's all about Hope and Hope only.

But, she didn't treat him like Steffy treated Sheila. She's treated him like he's someone special and has for years. During 2022, while Thomas was trashing her mother and trying to destroy the Bridge marriage, there was Hope, standing beside him, working on HFTF, listening to his words of love, attending the Forrester family dinners and sleeping in the room beside Thomas'. It was so disappointing.

Exactly, and it's not right or fair to discount his feelings about all that and how far he has come and not come with this woman. It would be selfish of Hope not to consider it, but we know how she is already. Selfish.

There is nothing appealing about Hope any longer. The show has done irreparable damage. All that matters for Hope is Hope. it's so hard to watch her on the screen.

I can't stand to even hear her voice is how hard it is for me. I'm tired of her talk-crying about everything. They have luna and poppy doing it, too, and I hate it.

Most Definitely! I agree with that statement 100 percent!

Hope has felt like that for a very long time... even while she was married to Liam. She wants Tom to design for HFTF, she wants Douglas, she wants the love and the adoration. And since she left Liam, sex was added to the list. I don't think she is doing it maliciously, I believe she expects Thomas to live his life in her back pocket. And for HOPE to reject his gracious and loving proposal of marriage, and then go back to the way it was before, is delusional! THOPE is dead in the water, and that is all on Hope!

I hope Thomas does decide to leave town, at least for a little while. Maybe they can get on the same page later on down the line, but now. Hope isn't ready for marriage, and Tom should move on.
