Hope has 2 young children and she's currently involved with the father of one of them who has been obsessed with her for years. If she needs a break to just have fun, perhaps cheating on your husband, destroying your family and jumping into bed with a psycho wasn't the best way to have fun.

If he isn't happy with the relationship that they both agreed to, then HE needs to be a big boy and own that and make sure his garbage sister keeps her nasty nose out of it. The problem here is that both people in the relationship knew the deal. It was Thomas who changed, yet Hope is being blamed. I think ultimatums are terrible. Anyone I know and deal with, we have honest dialog and explain feelings (like what Hope has already told Thomas). If Thomas was not happy with the deal he already agreed to, he could have simply told Hope that he is no longer good with it and cannot keep on. That is the healthy and proper thing to do. Not to deliver a "now or never" ultimatum like a child. No offense here.

Hope is so pathetic to me. The way Thomas stomped out of that room proves how childish he still is.
When I re-watched it, he cried "no" then turned and ran out after she said...."I can't be your wife Tom"....to me that sounded like a final answer from her. First she said she could not accept his proposal, and he was still standing there, then she said "I can't be your wife"....that seemed to put a dagger in his heart.
I want him to get a little edge to him, I want bad Tom back, but not crazy Tom. Crazy Tom should be over and done with now. Now it is time for a harder and edgier Tom. JMO

Some say Hope outgrew Liam, maybe she outgrew Thomas, too. He may see their sexscapades as signs that she is majorly in love with him in a committed way. It’s an old fashion view of women in a way. His version of Hope would not do that without being ready for a commitment. Maybe he’s got it all wrong.
That is an interesting take on it. Personally I don't think Hope outgrew Liam, I think she got caught and got ousted, when she wanted to stay right where she was....with Liam. But, your idea of it could be what this is all about. Hope changing and really wanting no man from her past, on a permanent basis.
