Time to rip the bandaid off Hope! (General)

It’s time to say yes or goodbye to Thomas in my opinion. If it’s true that she’s the happiest she’s ever been, and the kids are happy and secure, there is no reason not to be engaged. I know many hate Thope and honestly, my mind changes almost daily about them, but an engagement would have lots of drama who knows, . maybe that’s what we will see next week with the spoilers. Regardless, this ring around the neck and constant proposals is played out… it’s decision time!

I will keep investing in them. Watched soaps for years and I can handle break ups. To me it is just a soap. If I don’t like this ride, I will get on the next. I think several invest in Thope for different reasons. I think the top are, OnLY MY OPINION, they hate the waffle boy, the actor playing Thomas is great and this relationship comes off real, it great to watch something different. These two have some much charisma. Lastly, my big one, can’t stand Liam, said it again

Well I will admit I’ve waffled back and forth. The chemistry is really great between them, there is a natural ease. However, I feel like I’m always waiting on a relapse from Thomas, that’s why I have trouble investing because it feels temporary for me for some reason, along with their past of course. I too cannot stand Liam and never want a Lope reunion. I guess it’s just my personality to be cautious before I pull for a couple, I’ve watched for years too and it’s only a soap that’s true of course, but fun for me when I am really pulling for a couple to be together. Always been a Logan fan and Hope fan. Use to really pull for Lope, but now I just loathe Liam, I think he is so superficial and selfish.

I have not liked Liam in a long time. He is a waffler and what gets me even angry are these women taking him back over and over.
The chemistry between Matt and AN is some of the best. I didn’t like Thomas as a bad guy and he plays a good guy soooo much better.
I don’t think there will be a relapse but could be wrong.

Liam needs a personality make over, lol, make him more like Bill. Red Meat and Scotch! A manly man, not a pansy, and indecisive on who he loves. Make that Boy into a Man, that the Women viewers will want to Rip his Shirt off his Body, Respectfully Lol, I miss seeing that in my Soaps these days.

Nah..Thope was never meant to be a permanent couple..I just don't see it with this crappy writing for them and dragging out their shallow nonsense for this long. IMO, they're simply not viable..I think their happy days will soon be over.

SM only makes up less than 8% of actual viewers. They are not a good barometer of who is watching and what those watching want to see. I think the best way to tell is by the weekly numbers, and BB has been on a 36 week slide. None of the current SL's seem to be helping the show.

Well when I look on social media there seems to be overwhelming support for them, which of course is driven by a certain demographic. Maybe in general people are just losing interest in soaps due to all the choices now for viewing when I started watching we only had 3 networks to choose from.

I do anticipate there will be a bump in the numbers as some may tune in for Hope's response and perhaps then the fall out. For me, I will catch up on the boards and wait for Thope to implode. May be a while, but so be it.

Honest question though. How much more time do Thope fans need to see that this just isn't a viable couple? They've been together since July and yet she cannot even tell him she loves him. She has turned down his proposal repeatedly and won't even wear his ring on her finger. I mean the signs to me are glaring. Even if I had ever been a fan of this couple which I never was, I'd have stopped shipping them by now. And I don't understand why fans think she will accept his proposal when she hasn't even said she loves him. If, and this is a big if, she does accept, I think it's obvious there will be an ulterior motive behind it. Either she doesn't want her fun with Thomas to end or she's cutting off her nose to spite her face, or in other words saying yes to spite someone, either her mother or Liam or Steffy. Whichever it is, it is NOT the right reason to accept someones proposal and this couple will be doomed sooner rather than later.

I think she is going to say "yes" for many reasons. The picture of Tom and Brooke is this week, they are in the same clothes from Friday, he does not look angry and we cannot see what she looks like, so I figure Hope has told her they are engaged, and it could be Hope is in the same room, just not in the photo. The photo of Hope in the showroom could be anything, and anyone down there with her. Could be Carter for all we know. I do think she is going to say "yes" because they have to get this tedious coupling moving along to bust it up. It cannot go on as is, people are really starting to not care either way, even some Thopers are over it.

If it is "no" then what are they going to do with either character now? Sinn has not fallen apart yet, if they are going to, Liam does not want Hope back. So, if they break them up now, then what for the pair? Just work together and pretend they were nothing to each other.

I think this show knows they are going to have to take Tom dark again, MA does a great tortured soul bad guy. In fact, they need Tom to go back to his old ways, but to be less desperate and more calculating and maybe out to get even with some people. Everyone has their niche, and Tom's is being the bad son of the main family who has been treated like second class for years by his parents and his sister. I was a Tom fan forever, until this Thope nonsense. And now I cannot stand Tom or Hope.

Even if they say yes, then what? Thope and Sinn live happily ever after and Liam pingpongs between the two couples depending on which woman he feels like chasing that day? I did for a while think maybe they're making Liam into the villain now but that idea is honestly too farfetched even for someone like me who doesn't like Liam at all. He may be a despicable idiot but he isn't a villain. If she says no there's lots of fallout. Thomas will go crying to his little sister who will of course jump at the chance to bully Hope again. Hope will be filled with guilt at breaking Thomas heart even though she still doesn't want to marry him. She'll also be sad at her fun ending with her one woman man. That look on her face could mean a lot of things but in no way does it look even the littlest bit happy. Why would she be looking like that if she's in love and has just agreed to marry the man she loves? I can't think of a single reason.

Or maybe she will just kick the can down the road again and Tom being the simp he has become will just accept it but he'll tell her next time he won't propose. He will wait for her to propose. Hence Tom's final proposal.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong and she will accept after all. Maybe that's her way of portraying happiness, with a sad face lol.

I think she is making that sad face at Liam. I don't know why, but I do. And, that should tell people a lot right there if she is making that face at Liam. It means she still loves Liam and is going to be settling for Tom. JMO

IMHO, this "will she or won't she" has been going on so long because these 2 have no dramatic chemistry together. It is all they can do to put some angst into them. They do have sexual chemistry together, or did, it has been done to death now, and they are very light together....but they have no dramatic chemistry IMHO and they have been tested for years to see if they do. The drama and angst from the baby Beth SL came from Liam and Douglas, and Liam and Tom. The Tom and Hope scenes were flat. The drama and angst during the mannequin SL came from Hope and Liam at Tom's apartment. And Tom and Ridge at the hospital. The Hope and Tom scenes, fell flat. They do not click dramatically....again MO, but I do think others can see it too. A soap couple has to be able to convey angst and drama to the audience, and I just do not see it with this pairing at all. Maybe if they have her saying "no" to him again, we will get more dramatic heartfelt scenes and they will shine. But so far, Liam and Hope in those kind of scenes are pure gold. Hope and Tom drama scenes are tin, there is a hollow ring to them.

I can only think of one scene with them where I saw any hint of chemistry in a serious moment, in the judge's chambers when Douglas chose Steffy, and Hope and Tom were speaking alone. That is the only time I have seen them spark during a serious scene. JMO

I agree a lot seems superficial, but it is also true the sexual chemistry is great. Liam and Hope are no longer viable to me because of how abruptly they ended and neither one of them seems to care. It reminds me of a first love that they’ve both outgrown. Hope seemed in the beginning like Thomas was a rebound only tome, but now it seems the opposite. She seems secure and happier than ever. We will see what this week brings.

I won’t disagree. But Thope is not going to work if they want to keep the characters in front. They just do not click where it matters for daytime drama….the drama filled scenes. I don’t think anything is going to help their blandness in those scenesThe show has tried and they just do not have it. Lope has it, and their sexual chemistry is tepid, but this is not a daytime sex show, so being able to click dramatically probably is more important.

They are now. It is just as boring to have a couple only praising each other and screwing as it is to have them in the cabin folding laundry and talking about the kids. This is daytime drama, not romper room, and not Showtime After Dark, Lope has a tons of dramatic chemistry, Thope has none. And I think we have seen them try to put Thope across with some drama and it did not work. Everyone around their drama was great, those two....stale and as dry as day old toast. When it comes to the drama, Tom with Liam, great. Liam with Hope, great. Steffy and Hope great. Tom and Ridge, great,....Tom and Hope.....meh.

They removed Hopes halo made her a great soap diva but Liam still sneeky lump trying to dig steffy from his pocket….she’s got Finn..no chance she will pick Liam …I don’t think they know what to do with Liam except daddy lunches..Thopes just starting the journey they need to stop Hopes trying to get approval….just grab Tom and elope
