Yes, he lied today. But I think the heart to heart is tomorrow where he will spill the beans to Steffy all the details. JMO. Steffy won't out him just like Thomas never outed Steffy when she revealed ONLY to him all the details including the tire iron in Aly's death. This mafia family will always protect their own when it comes to something as serious as a murder/killing.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

But Steffys marriage might be at stake here. Will she lie to Finn in order to protect her brother? Remember, she has outed him before. I wouldn't be surprised if she outs him again and tells Finn everything.

Yes, but that wasn't as serious as a murder/killing where an innocent person died. I think she will keep Thomas's confession to herself because that's how this mafia family works when it comes to killings..but Finn wlill be angry at first, but he will also forgive her just like he always does with her past wrongdoings..he always overlooked her bad deeds.

I'm wondering too. Not in defense of Thomas, but because I'm purposely trying to stay neutral where the Thomas/Emma story is concerned, and I didn't pick up on any lies.

I think tomorrow he may tell Steffy everything. If he doesn't, then it's game over.

It's lying by omission imo. He never revealed ALL the details on his evil part.
And it's already game over for him because the person he should be having heart to heart and come clean about everything is HOPE, not Steffy..that's what a truly changed Thomas should do is come clean to HOPE.

I guess we shall see tomorrow just how much Thomas shares with Steffy about the night Emma died. So far, Thomas has been asked by Hope, Finn and Steffy and he's not come clean, not even close. Awfully strange for a changed man.

Actually, Thomas already had alone time with Hope yesterday..that was his golden opportunity to prove to me that he has indeed "changed", but he never came clean to Hope at all.

Steffy asked Thomas point blank if any of the allegations Xander made are true. In other words, did Emma and Thomas fight about Emma telling Hope the truth? Did Thomas threaten Emma? Did Thomas chase after Emma in his car? Did Thomas stop at the scene? Was Thomas responsible for Emma's death. Those are the allegations Xander made against Thomas to Finn and although we didn't see Steffy repeat the allegations to Thomas, it was clear that she had filled him in and what Xander had told Finn. So, again, when Steffy asked Thomas point blank, Thomas responded that the only thing Xander was right about was that Thomas was a person of interest. Thomas lied. He's a POS.

What specifically did Thomas lie about pray tell?

I am wondering the same. He said he didn’t intentionally kill Emma and that is true. For anyone thinking otherwise it’s very clear here in this flashback starting at the 3:49 mark that he wanted her to pull over to talk to her, not force her to go off the road and that he was shocked when she did.

He also said he doesn’t know if she was texting. That was true. He wasn’t in her car. What he hasn’t said and BS’d about today is that whether or not texting contributed (and I feel it did), things he did (tailgating her with his brights on, intimidating her verbally earlier) also contributed. We’ll see what he says tomorrow, whether or not he takes some responsibility and shows remorse.

He knows Xander accused him of murdering Emma. I don’t recall exactly what details were relayed by Finn to Thomas and Steffy, and by Steffy to Thomas, but being accused of being a murderer would be what stood out in my mind if I were the subject of discussion, and what I would address. We will see how honest he is tomorrow when they presumably get into more detail.

Correct. I hope it's not fungicide like they usually do when they try to condone death and murder on this show, to keep other characters viable. We've already had to put up with that with darla, with aly, Bill's shooting, and now emma?

Actually he said he was a person of interest and that he should have been. This conversation occurred in the last five minutes or so of the show, it’s just the start. I will be perfectly willing to say he lied tomorrow if I feel that way, but for today I am going to suspend judgement. I feel he told the truth on the bottom line allegation and otherwise deflected so far, while conceding that the whole truth should come out. Whether his “whole truth” turns out to be a lie remains to be seen for *me*.

I think maybe the important part is, if he tells Steffy the truth, will he then go to Hope and tell her the truth too? And if he does, will she stay with him, if so, then she is a very low person, who would be showing that Emma's death meant nothing to her, as it meant nothing to Tom. Why I say this is, he left Emma to die alone in the ravine and did not call for help. Forgivable maybe if you are 18, despicable if you are mid-30's. If Hope were to tell Tom she understand and he is all healed now and better, than she might as well been in that car with him as he chased Emma to her death in the canyons, and Hope to, might as well have a smirk over it, as Tom did, and we all saw it.

Looking down a hill and smiling as she dies is intentionally making her death certain. Making sure EMS didn't come in time to revive or save her, that's intentionally killing her. As for the texting, it has been shown that she had both hands on the wheel 10:00 and 2:00 and she was watching the road until Thomas started flashing his lights and brights and she started telling him to get off her bumper, and she kept looking in her mirrors. That's thomas, not a cell phone.

There's no excuse for just standing there and not calling 911. That was sociopathic. He had a one track mind ruled by his obsession. Personally, I just don’t care when Emma’s hands were and weren’t on the steering wheel. She was distracted driving. Texting involves visual, manual and cognitive distraction. I often text with my BFF while I’m making dinner and when I put my phone down and walk across the room to take care of things on the stove I’m thinking about what she said and/or what I’m going to write next; my cooking is on autopilot. Emma picked up her phone to text and put it down twice, debated whether or not she should tell Hope via text, talked out loud to “idiot” Thomas, and spent a whole lot of time looking in her her rear view mirror instead of flipping it to the night position and paying attention to the road in front of her. Would she have been doing any of those things if not for Thomas? No. Would she likely still be with us if she had not made those choices? I think so. That is just not how I handle tailgaters, and this storyline has only reinforced my determination to ignore them and double down on driving carefully when I encounter one (as I did this afternoon, lol).

What specifically did Thomas lie about pray tell?

He said he had absolutely nothing to do with Emma's death...which is a big fat lie.
