Agreed. Ridge seems to be every bit as much or more broken up than any other character, and he has repeatedly urged all the others to do what Eric wants. His idea of Eric’s wishes will be his only motivation imo. Of course we have not seen Eric directly discuss with anyone the specifics of what he does and doesn’t want done under what circumstances, which is bad..

I don't think Ridge wants Eric dead, I think he can't stand to see him suffering and feels there's no hope, so why prolong the pain? But it's shaping up to be a "Ridge wants to pull the plug" again. Not so he can be king of FC, but to save Eric what he thinks is needless pain.

I don't know for sure, but I guess he has been power of attorney. Its not unusual for someone his age to name someone since he is no longer married. He probably did it when he updated his will after his divorce.
