Another Boring Day (General)

It's two different schools of thought and being. I agree with your grandmother's sentiment, and in a way, so does Eric.

Eric feels that once people know he's dying, then he might as well be dead. And from the way they all act, he's right. He doesn't want to spend his last days surrounded by mourners. Your grandma's plaque says give her flowers while she's alive, and Eric's mantra is do not mourn me until I'm really dead. It's the same thing. All this talk about Eric and how they'll miss him. He doesn't need them in front of him saying that.

And he doesn't need people worrying him about going to a hospital -- if nothing more can be done (which I'm confused at whether that's true.)

It might not be fair to the family but doing it the family's way is not fair to Eric.

Sorry if I am ruining this for you, but for me it was just another very boring same old same old day,,...,and one I would never choose during my lunch time and that is all it has been the last few days.

At this point Eric is thinking about NO ONE but himself. At this point he of course thinks he is dying, and most people would want to reach out and spend this time with the family and loved ones, as it will be too late when he is truly gone. How is his family, those who do not know, going to feel when they were not allowed that quality time with him before he is lowered into the ground.

My maternal grandmother, long gone now, did not have pictures hung in her old farm home but she had one little cardboard plaque shiny with sequins on her fireplace mantle that read: "Give me my flowers while I am living."

I think as parents and as children to our parents that is what we all need to do and not wait until it can not be appreciated.

I have been a little disappointed in Eric lately, but than, I thought of how he left Stephanie and his family to marry Brooke and later Sheila. So maybe this is just Eric being Eric, selfish and thinking only of himself.

I fully agree with your thoughts about whether this impending death is true, I don’t think so either.

Hopefully, very soon we will learn it was all a minor medical issue that could’ve been resolved. If only Eric had gone into hospital and had a full scope of medical tests run instead of outpatient tests.

I can only assume that this has something to do with the writer strike. Perhaps they’re just filling airtime or perhaps the actor has decided to retire, I don’t know. What I do know is that watching this is excruciating in the extreme.

Please resolve this storyline soon very very soon.

I just had an amusing thought.

As much as we hate watching these boring episodes, can you imagine what it must be like for the actors and actresses having to play them over and over and over again. How monotonous!

Wasn’t boring to me. No Thope. No Taylor. It was a good episode in my eyes.

Holy cow, how many days and weeks are we going to get this. Same people, the exact same conversations. I FF the entire show. There isn’t anything that hasn’t been said ad nauseam.
