Annika Noelle TV Interview (Spoilers)

I love this interview. AN confirms that Hope does indeed love Thomas but she's just being hesitant because she's been burned by love. I also got a kick out of response to the question about Sheila and "not punching crazy in the face".

I just read the whole interview, and I am sorry, but she does not confirm anything about loving Tom. She talked more about Liam than Tom, and she mentioned the part about all the things going on in Hope's life, and Liam was mentioned, not Tom, her love life was 5th on the list. She also mentions that Liam could not forgive just a kiss, but it was so much more than just a kiss. Anyway, AN said nothing at all about Hope being in love with Tom, or even loving him...just that she hoped that Hope finds strength in her heart, clarity and has more scenes with her children, with or without a man.

We will see....I am sure not even the writers know where they are going with this yet. The ratings do not reflect the twitter enthusiasm, so we will see. Thope does not raise the ratings so far. And we know things have raised the daily ratings. The Eric/Ridge fashion show raised them, Steffy being back has raised them, Liam and Hope anytime together in angst and drama, raises the ratings, but Thope has yet to do the same since the initial sex-a-thon week. Twitter is just a very very small segment of people who watch or read the show....the main demographic is late middle age...and most are not on Twitter or Instagram. So we will see. MA is a great villain and plays the role very well, so I am not sure this show wants to lose him playing that role, because he does have a heart, yet he can be psychotic and go over the edge, and MA has that role down as Tom. SC brings home the Emmy's for his great dramatic scenes, and playing the protagonist, so I am not sure they want to try and switch that around and mess up the good thing they have going. Not saying Lope will reunite at all, just saying, I don't think Thope is an endgame here at all. JMO

I don’t think acters can reveal,plots ….I remember during tv Emmy interviews Hope said her heart was with Wyatt it’s all just chatter hype jmo. She picked Liam too bad Wyatt is nicer

To me, they ruined the entire story from day 1 and They are trying so hard to course correct, but it’s too late for some of us. They did nothing to make me sympathize with Hope until it was too late. They made a choice to emphasize her lust for a man who manipulated her for years rather than show the emotional crisis she was facing because of Liam and Steffy’s relationship. So in damaging Hope’s credibility as character, I don’t believe anything Hope says. She could be 100% right about everything but I will believe forever that she gaslighted Liam before Rome. He knew something was wrong but she never told him before the kiss that she felt like she never had all of his heart. Not once. I’m sorry she felt so emotionally neglected but she lied to herself and to others who told her they could see what was happening with her. So whether or not Hope loves anybody is irrelevant at this point. When it comes to this character, I don’t trust anything she says. She’s not a liar. It’s just that when it comes to feelings, I don’t trust the character.

I think you have summed up very nicely why many will not back Thope....or Hope in the case you presented. For me it is what you posted PLUS the fact that Tom is a child abuser, and the children he abused are Hope's children. He also abused Hope's mother, more than one time. He also wanted to kill Hope's brother, more than one time. So, I guess it does come back to what you posted...Hope is not a root worthy character for me right now, because they did not write her giving one indication that she was feeling insecure about Steffy and Liam, not even when her mother questioned her about this very thing, she denied her mother's worry and said she completely trusted Liam and what she loved best about him was his ability to love and how she respected that he still loved Steffy because they share a child. Those were Hope's words last year during Steffy's coma and beyond. She lied to Liam's face when he asked her if she was having feelings about Tom. If she was all worked up about his divided heart, wasn't that the time for her to tell him so? The writers screwed the pooch on this SL. Thope might have been acceptable to more viewers if the writers had not been so half-ass about the approach, never acceptable to me, but probably to many others. The writers were lazy, or they just had not decided where they were going with it....AN even mentioned it recently on her IG, that they wanted to see if people were open to Thope....well some are, some are not. But, their wishy-washy method of doing Thope has left many not caring, and some not even liking Hope anymore. She is not strong, she is not a liberated woman, she is not even a very good mother anymore. A good mother would not crawl into a couch with the man that abused her kids. Sorry, that is how I see it. Hope is not a good mother because she is too self absorbed.

Also, she has taken up with a man that is the "Sheila" of her family. Sheila tried to kill Steffy and Finn. Tom tried to kill Rick. I guess because Rick was only slightly injured, then it was no big deal. LOL. Sheila stole a child back in the day to get the father for herself. Tom allowed a stolen child to be dead to her parents, in order to get the mother for himself. Sheila tied James up and raped him. Tom told everyone Brooke molested him on Berry Island. Sheila emptied a box of bees in a room where a man allergic to bees was sleeping, then smiled as he died and her face was the last thing he saw. Tom chased a young woman through the canyons and caused her to careen off a cliff, then smiled as she lay dying, his face the last thing she saw. Sheila poisoned Stephanie and claimed Maggie did it, Tom called CPS using Brooke's voice and claimed to everyone, that Brooke did it. Sheila mentally abused her daughter, Tom physically abused his and Hope's son.

I agree with every word. I believe they screwed up the writing. One, they took Thomas too far over the years. Two, they did a lousy job of making the case for Hope. They should have led with Hope’s supposed agony over Liam and Steffy. It came after she was caught.
