When ridge was at the baby birth of douglas, he knew then he was not the dad right?

Thomas did not just keep a secret, and the viewers all saw that it was more than that. He allowed a crime to continue to happen. Beth was stolen from the womb and sold to the highest bidder, who happened to be Tom's mother. He knew his sister was the recipient of that crime and knew that Hope's child was being raised by Hope's worse enemy. Tom allowed the woman he claimed to love more than anything to grieve and believe her child was dead forever. And he didn't do it for any other reason than he wanted her for himself. Tom then proceeded to threaten the people that did know. He threatened them in a very evil way too. Then when Emma found out what was going on, she went immediately to tell Hope....Tom followed her, chased through the canyon and chased her to her death, where he watched her take her last breath and he smirked and smiled. Her death led to the others being so scared of him, they kept the secret, he even gloated to them about what happens when you cross him,

Ridge was terrible to force Caroline to lie about Douglas. Horrible. It drove her almost insane, There is no excuse except to say....Ridge believed that Thomas was without any boundaries, that he had sexually molested Caroline, and that his grandson would be better off being raised by 2 parents that loved each other, and not Thomas whom Ridge knew was mentally ill. Ridge knew about Thomas' criminal actions toward Rick, and he knew that Thomas had serious mental issues and had been sent away to an institution for help. As wrong as Ridge was, at least he partially thought he was doing it for altruistic reasons, and he of all people should be the one now telling Thomas to not have one thing to do with Hope, because Thomas does have mental issues and control issues, and he does not want those triggered again.

Brooke stayed out of it because Ridge berated her for asking questions about his vasectomy. And it was Katie who found out first and forced Ridge to tell Tom the truth...then it was Tom's choice to allow the charade to continue. Tom, Caroline, Ridge and Katie were the ones that knew the truth, before anyone else. So maybe Brooke figured if Thomas had no issue with it, then why would she have an issue of forgiving Ridge for something that did not involve her, and something that the person who was harmed, was going along with?

And IA that Tom and Ridge should be bitter enemies. Thomas lied and said he slept with Ridge's wife, and broke them up....and he did it all for greed. Ridge believes to this day that Tom took sexual advantage of Caroline II, whom Ridge was engaged to. Tom lied to CPS and again caused the end of Ridge's marriage to Brooke. Ridge wanted to keep Tom from ever knowing he was Doug's father.....they should be at each other's throats on this show. And Thomas should be trying to take control of FC away from Ridge and Steffy. This show misses so many opportunities.
