Hope is channeling her mom's past and her dad's present (General)

matisse, 8/27/2023, 3:01PM (255 days ago)

Hope seems to be emulating her parents, her mom's past and her dad's present.

Like her mom Hope fell on her back with an abuser. Brooke spit in Bridget's face by doing so and almost lost her daughter forever. Hope is spitting in Beth's face and eventually Beth will know what her mother did to make her dad leave and what Tom did to her. Brooke and Hope both got caught up in the "freeing' sexual frenzy of it all....the porn fest, wanting it to be secret, the guilt, the shame and finally with Brooke, the total end of it all. Which will come with Thope too.

Hope is now living a parallel situation with her father. Having a sexual relationship with a psycho killer, that is inappropriate on many levels, and will have the whole world against them. Like Deacon, Hope is soon going to be faced with a sex partner that wants to be more. And like her dad, she is going to make it all booty calls and very little substance, while trying to hide it from people. Because she knows....it is wrong....and she might lose her family over it. Just like Deacon could lose his daughter and the good will of Brooke over bedding Sheila. Sheila, like Tom, told Deacon she would let him go because she cares about him and does not want him to lose his family, but just like Tom, she keeps coming back.

This is not going to end pretty for Hope,...IMO. The cleansing of Thomas, may come at the complete cost of Hope and she too, like Brooke, will have this throw in her face for years to come.

I think Brooke and RJ are never going to come around on Tom, for good reasons. He has tried to destroy Brooke's life on more than one occasion. And poor RJ may have to introduce them as his brother Tom who is married to his sister Hope. The aunts will just look at her with sad "tsk. tsk you have no idea the world of hurt coming your way" looks. Beth will eventually be a teen, like in the next year or two, and find out and be up in Hope's face asking her how she could have slept with the monster that wanted her dead. Steffy will throw it in her face every chance she can get how Hope is "just like her mother and her father, always using people"...Ridge I think is going to always be wary of her with Tom. Ridge really does not seem to like Hope. Taylor might side with them....if she is still on the show. Liam will just think he dodged a bullet dumping her, and he will tell her that he is worried about Hope being around Tom and that he questions Hope's judgement and her lack character in choosing he man that wanted their child dead to them, over that child.

I don't care if he become St. Thomas, it will never change what he did to Beth and Lope...never. He can go find a new woman to bestow his new saintliness upon....but he is not going to get a pass to go and screw Beth Spencer's mother, after wanting Beth Spencer to be dead forever.

I cannot wait for them to age this kid to about 16 and make Thomas' life a living nightmare. Part of me hopes that Thope will be married when they age Beth in a couple years...it will be enjoyable watching Beth call her mother out on her choosing the monster that wanted her dead....and watching her set out to end that marriage. LOL. And I am sure she could if she was just a little older.

He is a child abuser, his own, and someone else's....that makes him a monster. I cannot imagine too many women viewers really want to see a child abuser end up with the abused child's mother as his prize. They can pair him with someone else, and he can be redeemed, but his past is not in the past, when it comes to abusing children and thinking we will accept him being with the mother of the children he abused.

Thomas can become a Jesuit Monk....and it won't change a thing about what he did to Beth and Lope. Hope will still be spitting on her daughter by taking up with the monster, and we can even call him "former monster" if that works better, but he is still the monster than wanted Beth Spencer dead to her mother, forever. And he killed a young woman to insure that it happened. Thomas, if changed, should PROVE it by removing himself from Hope and Beth's life except for when he has to be around as Doug's dad and for pick-up and drop-off of Doug. That is the ONLY way that Thomas can prove that he means what he is spouting. Thomas should live up to the BS he is saying...and take himself out of the picture as any kind of romantic pairing for Hope, the mother of his victim, the little girl he abused by keeping her from bonding with her parents for 6-8 months.

And I do not believe that Thope has as many fans as some believe. Many are thoroughly disgusted with Hope for lying down with the cretin that wanted her child dead. It is wicked and bespeaks to her lack of character and her selfishness that her sexual proclivities is more important to her than what this creep did to her child and her family.
