Their insane plan made this happen. 3 counts of attempted murder wasn't enough for them. They needed more.
They decided it was a great idea to blackmail Steffy, Finn & Taylor to get Sheila off for all attempted murder charges. Just so they could trap her into confessing to a murder one. They knew fully well Steffy would never in a million years sacrifice Taylor. They knew she'd drop the charges.
Why couldn't the two idiots + that useless FBI guy have made sure they did their evidence collection legally?

I am hoping the immunity deal was contingent on a conviction. If so, since the victim confessed to knowing that Taylor shot him, there is no entrapment. He went the law enforcement agency on his on accord and gave a statement. I am praying that it is off the table and in Bill and Ridge's cockiness they managed to screw over Finn, Steffy, and Taylor.

Here I can only heartily agree. This video confession to a murder that happened many years ago and there´s no proof left aside from a confession that was secretly taped just had to go wrong.
