They could have gotten rid of Paris and brought Ivy back. Paris may as well not exist any way for all the story and screentime she gets.

They didn't even build this story up. Since the shooting and up until yesterday's episode, Finn was never conflict about his feelings when it came to Sheila. He didn't even want to go visit Sheila, on the Wednesday episode and was trying to get out of it and now Finn suddenly he is and reciprocates her hugs; just for Liam to notice them. Liam will probably tell Steffy, and this will make him seem like plausible option for Steffy versus Finn. They will probably have Liam be a hero of some sort. Kind of reminds me of how Hope started fantasizing about Thomas out of the blue then Steffy saw the hand holding and told Liam about it.

He's getting the Hope treatment..the show already character assassinated Hope and I guess it's Finn's turn. Finn suddenly has some feelings for his psycho mother is just like Hope never had a single fantasy about creepy monster Thomas until a few months ago..suddenly there it was her creepy thoughts came out of nowhere just like Finn's feelings came out of nowhere. This show hasn't made sense for several months now.

Just like it was pure character assassination to have Hope all the sudden have hot pants for child abuser Tom. All to redeem the unredeemable Tom. Tom constantly disrespected Liam and Hope both, and he committed actual crimes against Brooke and killed Emma, and they could not leave it at that....they had to dirty Hope up so Tom didn't look like a total criminal psycho.

And they had to give Lope the quickest divorce in history so Hope did not look like the lying cheater she is, because Liam has not been in conflict about his feelings between Hope and Steffy for years. They threw one line in to make it seem like Hope had an actual reason to think that Liam was always thinking of Steffy. This gave Hope carte blanche to run to Tom and flop down for him. And they did all this to make Tom seem like a anti-Liam and a plausible option for Hope. The writers also knew it would be a hard sell for Hope to leave Liam for psycho Tom, so they had to throw Liam under the bus with the kiss, and the one line.

I am using your post to illustrate....this is how this show rolls. Liam got hosed by the writers, now Finn is getting hosed by the writers. All to put across pairings that many viewers have no interest in seeing. JMO

And the beat goes on. Liam got thrown under the bus to justify Thope. While I absolutely understand where Hope is coming from, the writing and dialogue make no sense, considering Hope asked Steffy to talk with Liam. Why did she do that? All she talks about are Liam and Steffy. Then when asked about Thomas she wants to blow it off.
