On the flight home, Carter made reference to how the trip was so successful and how nice it was that there were no issues to clean up on their return to LA. There was also that restaurant scene with the fans of HFTF and how Hope was so easily recognizable. Was that scene significant? After her speech with her emphasis on her message, is it possible that bad press is about to explode with news of a possible divorce and a picture of Hope and Thomas kissing and Hope will once again be attacked for not holding true to what she and her line stands for. That would be enough reason to remove her presence from the line and for Hope to finally get herself some help. I just don't know where this story is going. Things are so murky and disjointed and have been for quite some time.

Trading in the waffler for a murdering psycho child abuser just doesn't seem like a good trade off in my books.

After today's dialogue I'm not so sure Hope needs actual therapy. I think what's she's been going through is an identity crisis. A self-imposed one. I think Liam will tell her it's over and she'll feel free to explore her feelings for Thomas. I don't know where the writers will take it at that point. Maybe they'll want to write a Thope pairing, or maybe they'll start the journey back to the eventual Lope reunion.

Well I´m very old and may not be up to date but I never read on any tabloid about any Fashion House about their designers having marital problems or cheating on their spouses.
If they had a superstar model working for them there might be interest in that model´s private life...but the designer of a line? No, I don´t think so...

Real life isn't applicable here. This is LA where everything Brooke and the Logans do is plastered all over the news. Back when HFTF was taking off, Hope was cornered at a restaurant and berated by a mother because Hope was technically living with a married man. How did the mother know that? Soon after, her line was in some heat and people were crucifying her and meetings were cancelled and young girls were throwing themselves on the ground... So yes, on the B&B what happens at FC is the only news people read.

The press should have had a field day with the CEO Ridge marrying his stepbrother's wife and their child ending up belonging to Thomas, Ridge's son. That story should have made front page news.

I agree and if they were so interested in Hope's personal life, wouldn't they wonder why Liam kept running back and forth from Hope to Steffy all of those years. Wouldn't they wonder why the same man had children with the face of HFTF and the co-CEO? If the press was interested in the Forrester's personal lives like they were when the show started, wouldn't they be interested in Ridge marrying his stepbrother's wife Caroline and why their child all of a sudden belonged to Thomas, Ridge's son. Seems like those would be worse scandals than Hope kissing her lead designer.

Yes, but news, in real life is instant. You want to put it out instantly -- as in all kinds of paparazzi should have been on the tarmac and the plane couldn't have taken off if they wanted to. That might have been a better story than how it's coming out now. While waiting for Bridge, the jet was overrun with reporters.
Certainly, the soap doesn't have to follow real-life news patterns. And it could be that Bill is paying to keep it secret, but it gets out later. That would also be a better story. Maybe they are discovered kissing in the background of someone else's photo? That would also be interesting. But I think it would be Liam and Steffy's kiss because Thomas and Hope's is already getting it's response from Liam.
But I don't think BB writers think like that anymore. They miss so many opportunities.

Yes, they do miss opportunities and instead throw us into messes that often make no sense. Not to mention history being ignored or reinvented.
