What if Thomas has changed? (General)
I am the first to admit I’ve hated the idea of Thope. He’s done terrible things , things it’s almost impossible to forgive, yet a piece of me can see a future where he’s a good guy. Look at how he’s stayed away from Hope since their return and as Ridge pointed out, nothing about Bridge reunion from Tom. So if he’s really changed there are two bigs things for me
1) He’s not been interested in another woman for a while now , only Hope.
2) He and Hppe make a great team professionally so would that transfer over to personal life?
I guess I’m so disgusted with Liam I want anything but Lope now, Liam has proven he’s not a nice guy! He wants to own Hope, it’s unhealthy! So not sure what I want for Hope now, but it’s not Liam!

For me, Thomas has shown nothing to suggest he has changed. Even if Thomas has totally changed, he can not be an option for me with Hope. He has done too much damage to Hope and Hope greatest cheerleader - her mother.

He has shown a lot of ways he has changed. He works hard, gets along with his family and most everyone else. He is behaving. He is doing nothing to indicate he has not changed. He hasn’t been coming onto Hope. What else could he do?

I did not say he wanted her to be dead. I said that he wanted her to be dead to her parents, forever. Big difference. And, he did tell Hope when they BOTH thought Beth was dead, that Hope needed to just get over it, and he said it meanly. And the facts are, Tom did not care that Beth "died" on Catalina, and he did not care that Hope was devastated over it. What he did care about is that Beth's death broke up Lope, and he could move in on Hope. And when he found out the truth about Beth being alive, her decided she should remain dead to her parents and grandparents forever. HE decided that, and that is what makes him the monster in the room. That is reason he should never ever be paired with Beth's mother, ever. If Hope goes there with Tom, then she might as well just go into Beth's room and spit on her.
No one changes that much in 4 months. And he has done a lot of really bad things since he got outed on his Beth lie. He committed an actual crime against Brooke to break up Bridge. He used Douglas to hold Hope hostage to his whims. He never got help back when he wanted Beth to be dead to Lope. He just ran off like the coward he is, and came back claiming he had changed and gotten help....all a bunch of lies. Which is why I think he is full of BS now. He seems to be trying, we will see come Friday and beyond. If he sends Hope packing in no uncertain terms, and sticks to it, then Tom has changed. BUT, if he ever hooks up with her after all he has done, even if she is asking him to 10 times a day, then he has not changed one bit. If he really got help and is over his Hope issue, then he will never be with her, because that would be exactly the same as an alcoholic thinking they can start drinking again, and handle it.

The show is on everyday with something new than what happen years ago. Sorry it has been talked to death. Everything and everyone has changed. It is over. This is the last time I am saying anything about it. It is way beyond to rehash this day after day. The show and the characters have moved on and so have I.

It is never brought up, but the first impulse after he learned the truth was to tell. And he did run to Steffy and when he was trying to tell her, Steffy told him she could not imagine her life without Phoebe and that is when he changed his mind. It is still terribly wrong but it shows that originally, he was not happy that the baby died at birth
Yes, I remember (and I think I already mentioned it in a post here) that at first he thought that Hope would be so happy if he told her this.
But then he thought about his sister losing Phoebe and of course it also dawned on him that if Beth was alive Hope might leave him for Liam. So he decided not to tell.

This is a soap. There is no time frame on soaps. No birthdays or anniversaries. Nothing to give away the time

He was daydreaming about Rome again today....and he is supposedly not the one with an issue anymore. LOL. He was remembering her in the Disney Costume, and her looking at him, and her kissing him, and them skipping down the streets. Yeah, he is not obsessing about her....LOL.
I noticed that the remembering today had a difference to it. The original scene was her grabbing his face and laying it on him, and he did not respond immediately, then they break apart and she goes in again, and he grabs her and really lays one on her. But today it showed her doing all the heavy lifting and showed them pulling away and staring in each other's eyes.

I said they changed the flashback scene. In the original Rome show, he grabbed her back in the second kiss and really laid one on her. That was not what was shown today. Bell is working overtime trying to redeem Tom LOL. My guess is, there is flack about the idea of Thope, more than the show thought there would be. They added in the longing looks they gave each other in Rome, which they did not show in the original scene. Tom wanted her child to stay dead to her, and Tom is constantly thinking about her, nothing has changed other than he seems to have put a different spin on his same old con job. I will believe he has changed when he tells Hope he does not want her romantically, and he means it and sticks to it.

Yes, I can certainly see that point of view. I’m just so angry with Liam’s behavior I’d love to see him regret pushing Hope into Thomas’s arms with his cruelty. As Steffy pointed out, Hope has forgiven Liam of much worse. Liam is such a weak man.

No, Thomas has done his fare share..he purposely kept the truth from Hope told her to get over it..that's NOT love. Then he threatened all the interns to keep their mouths shut..then there's Emma's death..then there's the FRAUD marriage. He was relentless in his Hope obsession.

Nope, Reese and Flo did it for money, what was Tom's excuse? Oh yeah, he did it to keep Lope apart so he could have his hearts obsession and for that he was willing to let her think her child was dead, forever. Reese and Flo had no skin in the game where Hope was concerned when they did what they did, but Tom, he was her brother at one time, he babysat her and made her a doll house, he supposedly loved her as his baby sister, then as something more, so if anything he should have been her protector, not the monster at the door.
There are still some good seats left on the THOPE bus

Well I’m not where you are yet with Thope, but I am certainly over Lope and can’t stand the thought of her begging him to stay. Also, I’m saw today she is truly remorseful, yet very drawn to Thomas in a way that surprises her. So, guess I’ll see where this goes. I’ve always seen the physical attraction, but couldn’t get past his past cruel behavior. Maybe Thomas has changed, time will certainly tell!

To me it would not matter if it had been 50 years, he is still the monster that wanted Beth to be dead to her parents. Nothing will ever change that for me, and that is on Bell. He wrote Tom to be Beth and Lope's Bogeyman, and no amount of redemption writing is going to change my mind on it. Tom is not acceptable with Hope. They can hook him up with someone else, give him a go with Paris. She is really good looking and kind of strange and creepy, they would be a good fit.

It would have been better if she had said to him that he may not be able to forgive Hope, but he should remember, if he walks away, Hope will probably turn to Tom, and then Beth will have to deal with Tom in her life. That might have sent him flying back home. And, if it is just for Beth, then so be it. That kid should matter to at least one of her parents, and we know it won't be Hope right now.

Liam has been manipulating and controlling Hope for years, in exactly the way Ridge always has Brooke. He’s convinced her on more than one occasion she was the love of his life only to run to Steffy when things got tough. Look at how he’s acting now, ending his marriage over a kiss when Hope didn’t over him sleeping with Steffy. He usually does it more subtly convincing Hope she is somehow responsible for Lam’s constant waffling. When they were very young and engaged it was because Hope wanted to wait for marriage to live together that he used as an excuse to run to Steffy. So yes, he has always tried to control Hope when it was him who was weak. Hope has shown weakness and vulnerability towards Thomas, but she’s not afforded the same grace she’s given to him countless times.

Liam acted like a selfish ass with Steffy. Neither Hope or Liam are thinking about Beth. Hope has been mentally AWOL on Beth since she got hot pants for Tom and her "baby" HFTF. Liam has been more of a parent to Beth the last few months than Hope has been. But they are both being selfish brats....IA. Liam should go home and tell Hope they need to stop being lost in their own song, and start thinking about Beth. If that means Hope no longer works with Tom, so be it. They can co-parent and hand off Douglas every other week. Same with Steffy and Liam, they can co-parent and just follow state guidelines with Kelly and just hand her off each week. They do not have to deal with Tom or Steffy other than texting, emailing and calling on the phone to handle the co-parenting. They can see each other at Eric's house on holidays.
We don´t know what kind of parents Lope were now for months...aside from Kelly, no children were seen since Christmas.
Hope worked most of the time but Liam spent most of the time chatting, with Wyatt, with Steffy, with Deacon...nothing was said about the kids.

I am the first to admit I’ve hated the idea of Thope. He’s done terrible things , things it’s almost impossible to forgive, yet a piece of me can see a future where he’s a good guy. Look at how he’s stayed away from Hope since their return and as Ridge pointed out, nothing about Bridge reunion from Tom. So if he’s really changed there are two bigs things for me
1) He’s not been interested in another woman for a while now , only Hope.

Exactly. I believe Thomas has changed and I believe he cares and respects Hope. Everything Liam doesn’t do. With Liam it has always been all about Liam. What he wants, what he thinks, what he believes. This is one lowlife dude that has no room to say anything to Hope. Every time Hope has done something wrong in his book, he ran to Steffy. Yep, Liam has certainly been a source of great pain for Hope over the years. Like she said as always trying to be good enough to deserve him, when I’m reality he was never good enough for her!
