January 2021 - conversation when Liam cheated (General)
Liam: I`m not trying to justify what I did. I know that`s impossible, I know that. I`m just... I`m just trying to explain how it happened. Hope, when I thought I saw you kissing Thomas I thought I was seeing the end of my marriage. I thought I was learning that everything I ever believed about you and your love for me was a lie, and suddenly nothing made sense anymore. Nothing! I felt crazy, I felt like one of those people, who-- who wakes up from a nice dream only to find themselves in a world of cruelty and chaos. I was spiralling, Hope. And then I started, then I started questioning how long had it been going on, how long had you and Thomas been carrying on with this affair, reassuring me to my face and then laughing at me behind my back. I was losing it! I needed an anchor. I needed a constant. Something... familiar.
Hope: Then you went to Steffy.
Liam: I wanted so badly for my life to make sense again, and so yeah, I-- I went to Steffy`s. Even she said it was crazy, even she said she couldn`t believe it, that you would kiss Thomas, and that-- that should`ve told me something. But she took my word for it when I said I saw it with my own eyes. And then... when I started drinking, she... she did too. For me. I love you so much. I do, and if you let me, if you let me I will spend the rest of my life making this up to you. I will never betray our vows again. Cause I-- I need you. I need our family, I need our life together. I need it! Just... just tell me I didn`t completely screw this up, okay, just... just tell me, that it`s not over, that there`s... there`s a chance, a small chance you could forgive me. Please? please?
Hope: If you had been unfaithful with anyone else, it would`ve hurt. But Steffy, given the history the three of us share... it`s like a knife, Liam.
Liam: I hate myself for the pain I`ve caused you. And I know I have no right to ask for your forgiveness and yet here I am asking anyway, because... because I know how big your heart is. I mean, we`ve-- we`ve faced obstacles before, big-- big obstacles. Ones, that would tear any other couple apart forever. And yet our love always carried us through and... I don`t know, I guess I just keep telling myself that that`s gonna happen this time because I have to believe that, I don`t have a choice. You`re too important to me, Hope, you`re just, you`re too important. Please, just... just say that you`ll try. No, say that you`ll let me try.
Hope: I believe you love me. I believe you`re sorry for what happened. But be honest with yourself, Liam. You love Steffy, too.
Hope: To know the woman was Steffy, that`s... that`s painful enough, Liam. But to hear that you slept with Steffy because you thought I`d cheated on you, that you thought our marriage was over... You know, I don`t-- I don`t care if you were drinking because you of all people should know the issues that Steffy and I have, and you just ran right to her. Without even giving me a chance before the two of you... before the two of you let what happened happen. And I understand that you felt betrayed, but you didn`t even take a second to learn that it was just a misunderstanding that could have been solved that night. You just wound up in Steffy`s arms, that`s where you were instead. Is that really what you want? Is that what you want? You want your family with Steffy?
Liam: No, no. I want you. Only you.
Hope: Well, then why? Why do you always turn to Steffy? You don`t make love to your ex-wife unless you miss her and you want to be with her.
Liam: You`re my wife, Hope. You`ve-- you`ve made me happier than I ever thought possible. I do believe we can come back from this, I do believe that. If you just-- if you give me a chance, a chance to prove my devotion to you, to prove my commitment to you, to prove that you are the most precious thing in my life. If you just... can you just give me that? Can you give me that chance?
Hope: I`ll give you this. At least you told the truth. You and Steffy, you could`ve kept it a secret between the two of you, there was no reason for anyone to know, so... but you were honest. And I do love you. It would take time to move past this, if we even can, and things wouldn`t be the same, not at first, if ever. But I love our family. We finally got Beth and the life that we made for her. And Douglas, and they -- they mean everything to me. Their happiness means everything to me. So I will try. For our children. For their future, I will try. But that`s all I can offer you right now. And Liam, it can never ever happen again.
Liam: It will never happen again. It will never happen again and that`s all I ask. Thank you. Thank you! I am going to repair the damage that I`ve done. I will.
Hope: I do have one question, though. Why now? Why are you telling me everything now?
Liam: There is, umm... there`s one other thing you need to know. And it`s-- it`s big. I also wish that I could just put that night behind us, I wish I could never think about it again. But that may not be possible.
Hope: What are you talking about? What, Liam?
Hope: Steffy is pregnant.
Liam: Which is why we can`t put that night behind us, at least not until we know...
Hope: ...if you`re the father. She has to take a paternity test.
Liam: Yeah.
Hope: There`s a chance it could be Finn`s, right?
Liam: A very good chance.
Hope: All of this is too much. All of this because you thought I kissed Thomas. Something that I would never ever do, but you didn`t even stop to think. You made a choice to run to Steffy, and now what? One moment of weakness and everything changes. You just went and threw our entire future into question.
Liam: Please don`t give up on us.
Hope: You gave up on us. You betrayed our vows. It wouldn`t have been easy, but I think I would`ve been able to eventually move on and find forgiveness, but now... with Steffy carrying a child that could be Kelly`s little brother or sister, I mean... How do we move on from that? We were so close!
Liam: Hope...
Hope:(crying) You know how much I love you? How much I dreamed of our life together? And our family? And then you just went and threw it all away. Because... because you forgot who I was. You lost faith in me and you lost faith in us and you turned to Steffy... I thought you knew who I was. So... so what do we... what do we do now? What do we... how do we move past it if you`re that baby`s father?
Seems to me they can now just switch Liam and Hope's name in this dialog, and Tom and Steffy's name, because it is basically the same SL. And Hope probably did do him and probably is pregnant too, if they just dusted off this script.
And, in looking for this I also found a few kisses that Tom planted on and unsuspecting Hope, that she never told her husband about. LOL. So I think that nothing burger kiss lasting 1 second, should really be no issue for Hope, given she had a few of those herself that Liam has never learned about.

Thank you for posting this. It reminds me why I hate Liam.

Steffy got pregnant but Hope is not pregnant, and if she were, then Liam would be the father.

We do not know if Thope had sex or not, not yet anyway. We do not know if Hope could be pregnant either, and if it could be Tom's child. The show did not show us anything after Tom saying to her "If we want to get out of here, now is the time" and she smiles at him and they leave. Where did they go for the next 12 hours? Liam went to Steffy because he was hurt and thought Hope was cheating. What is Hope's excuse for seeing a naked Tom on top of her when it was her husband? And what was Hope's excuse for making out in the town square with her boyfriend while she thought her husband was safely tucked away back at home? This is the same story with the dialog. Just read it and change the names, especially the part where Hope says...."anyone but Steffy". . It appears that Hope may have never forgiven Liam and started her fantasizing about Tom as a type of unconscious payback to Liam. JMO
We at least saw Liam wanting to tell the truth immediately, agonizing over it, being weak and being talked out of it, but at least the lie was killing him, Hope OTOH seemed quite pleased with her "handling" of the situation, all the way until she saw the suitcase. LOL

And even Liam could not have made Steffy pregnant after a day or two only. Steffy would have found out at least 2 or 3 weeks later. If she hadn´t been pregnant Liam wouldn´t have told at all.
And I don´t think Bell would write for a couple that they had sex, for the first time ever, and not show us.
I know we saw the Still sex only in flashbacks but at least we saw Steffy waking up smiling the next morning, and then the flashbacks.But here, nothing...

I think Caroline and Thomas had sex for the first time and we didn't see it. That also resulted in a pregnancy. I think this is true. I don't recall them having sex before Douglas was conceived.
Liam told the truth and he did it without having to be outed. He could have waited for the paternity test if he'd chosen to, but he didn't. He came clean. And he would have done it sooner had Steffy not begged him to keep quiet. Because it was her life, too, he was trying to convince her to come clean with him.

Pretty sure mommies don't give those kinds of kisses to their children. Nor would any spouse be satisfied with the "sure, I kissed him, but I was just comforting him" excuse. It doesn't work.

Yes. Thomas had been after Hope and you can even see them on a "christmas adventure" together just one episode back. He was wooing her. In this episode, Steffy was pressuring him to get Hope to go away with him. So I guess he'd been asking...IDK...but she shouldn't have gone away with a guy she knows is trying to hook up if she's not also trying to hook up.

I would say that Liam has pretty much detested Thomas since his return after Caroline's death. He many not have liked him before, but the real negative feelings blossomed during the Beth situation. The effort that Liam put into finding out Beth was alive was huge. I can't imagine how he felt when Douglas told finally told him.
It goes back to when Liam married Steffy, and Thomas and Hope graffitied Liam's house. Then Cabo. Hope never should have gone to Cabo with that man. He still can't get over her.

Seems to me they can now just switch Liam and Hope's name in this dialog, and Tom and Steffy's name, because it is basically the same SL. And Hope probably did do him and probably is pregnant too, if they just dusted off this script.
And, in looking for this I also found a few kisses that Tom planted on and unsuspecting Hope, that she never told her husband about. LOL. So I think that nothing burger kiss lasting 1 second, should really be no issue for Hope, given she had a few of those herself that Liam has never learned about.
Look at Hope's dialogue in this transcript. It's not about the kiss or how long it lasted. It's because he always turns to Steffy. That's the issue.
