It would be so much cheaper for BNB to bring in decent day actors for dating than to create all this unbelievable romance and breakup antics. The triangles just don’t work for this viewer and honestly I think dating is more fun, watching people go out with different personality types would be a hoot, especially if there’s a discussion about it later. It’s also a good way to try out different actors. That’s all they had to do is send Thomas on more dates and that would have normalized him far better than throwing all these characters under the bus for a relationship that even TPTB has supposedly said is not root worthy. JMHO!

I don't know why they didn't use Petra for Tom. They could have had Hope being jealous, like Hope (KM) was back when Ivy and Liam were dating. That was some good stuff. Do more with Paris, people don't like her because all they write her to do is be a nosy parker and ask dumb stuff like "don't you think Tom is hot, huh, don't you. come on Hope, don't you think he is the hottest guy in shoe leather?"....Paris (DW) is great looking, young and she is as good an actor as anyone else on this show. Why aren't they using her for something more than a stray line every 4 weeks? I mean, don't Tom and Paris still live together? If he is not living with her, then where is he living, in the FC gym?

I agree with every word. They used Paris to be a busy body. The young woman is capable. It’s just a date. I’m tired of these so called great romances that are and they are not soapy fun. I actually think the dating scene is load with drama based on what young people tell me.

I think Paris may be in story with RJ this summer. At least I hope so.

There’s no where to date
This is very true. Brooke had to have a first date at her house.
They need another space like a bar or club. There used to be Cafe Russe, Bikini bar, the private dining room etc

That can work on sitcoms but not so much on soaps. Even prime time shows. On soaps everything is interconnected. You may have one random day player but beyond that everyone that is introduced plays a role in story. That is just the model. Bold could have more reoccurring characters like Li or Donna that they call in as needed.
A soap has to have a core cast, so regardless they continue to have a full cast of characters they have to pay so everybody body needs to have multiple purposes.

Well maybe soaps need to try something new and that’s why they are dying out. That’s why the night time dramas and comedy shows do so much better. Everyone doesn’t have to be married or pining for a great love. They tried it with Hollis and Brooke and I thought it was refreshing. I don’t care for his voice, but it was fun to see something new. Why can’t Thomas date the models that are on the show or some of the staff people we can see walking in the background. We saw Zende flirting with a model. It can happen. Anything is better than the constant triangles. Other soaps show more than triangles.
