There's still a chance Thope will happen, but it's possible that the 'Hope and Thomas in Rome' story was just the catalyst for the "Will Lope's marriage end?" story. It may even be the catalyst for the Hope/Liam/Steffy triangle to be resurrected. No way to tell at this point.
