Ratings are down (General)

It just seems like hinting at it to me, hence why I won’t watch. Sorry as I know you like them, but I can’t because of the way they treated my Hope. And now there’s Finn who I also really like and I like his portrayer and don’t want Finn/TN hurt by a Leffy reunion (because unless they pair him with Hope I don’t know what they’ll do with Finn, and she’ll possibly be with Thomas….although they’ll need angst and Finn could provide…just don’t know that the show will allow there to be another leading man in Liam’s age group as they like him to be the only one).

And I’m not trying to speculate on ratings. I can only say why I won’t watch.

I haven’t watched in a long time now because I am not interested in seeing Thope or Leffy scenes.

I understand that, but Steam have nothing to do with decreasing ratings. They aren't a couple right now, and their rare scenes together are 100% friendship, nothing romantic. Steffy's triangle with Liam and Wyatt brought record high numbers. Liam and Steffy's epic beach reunion brought 4.3 millions viewers on April 11, 2016. If one duo has brought high ratings, it's them.

Yet, Leffy's Australian location wedding day in early 2017 had the lowest ratings for that week, and it was highly promoted by the show given it was B&B's 30th anniversary. Besides, soaps are a dying genre especially after the pandemic..even if Leffy reunite today, there's no way this duo would bring in that kind of numbers. JMO.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

According to the latest ratings, the total number of viewers are down by 374,000 from this time last year. People are just not tuning in to see the Hope/Thomas/Liam snooze fest or Brook and Taylor being bffs. This show needs new storylines fast.

Compared to what was happening last year, who can blame viewers? I am pretty loyal but don’t care about any of the current storylines. The Sheila story could be exciting, but the pacing is so slow. Why do we need day after day of Liam whining to anyone who listens? Where are the other characters? Everyone should have a story. Instead, they all talk about Thomas & Hope and how terrible Brooke was. Everything is on repeat.

Thopes only interesting got going …..minus Liam would be better thou….Brooke rewind with ridge is stale…..over and over yuck…yes add new characters they should hire new men ..

There is not Brooke and Ridge currently showing, so no, that doesn't have a thing to do with the numbers. Thomas with Hope is draining the ratings. It is the worst attempted pairing on the show.

The ratings were draining the same way for Steffy, Taylor, Sheila and Bill's story in January-February-March. And for the CPS scheme saga in October-November-December. The ratings are draining the same way for Young & Restless and General Hospital. They are all bleeding viewers. Just saying.

What this show needs more than anything, is for Brad Bell to completely retire from his own show and sell it to Sony TV, which owns Y&R. And then hire an entirely new staff of writers, directors and producers. Sack every one of them, no matter how long they’ve been with the show. Everyone who is behind the cameras is stale and NEEDS to go immediately. With completely new writers and producers, obviously the show will change a bit, and some old characters will be replaced with new characters. Some actors on the show will either get fired or quit on their own due to the change, but THIS SHOW needs an entirely new creative team top to bottom.

The new writers & producers will write much much better storylines and bring this show back from the grave (I mean, they wouldn’t be able to do any worse, thats 100% for sure).

The only thing hurting this show is the guy who owns & writes it. Soaps go through many executive producers and head writers over the years and years they’ve been on, such as Y&R and General Hospital, which according to every single person who watches soap operas, are MUCH better shows than B&B is now. Yet, B&B has had Brad Bell from day one, writing and producing. Sure, his father was the head writer and executive producer for the first several years on the show, but Brad was still there. A creative overhaul behind the scenes is what this show needs asap or else CBS affiliates will drop the show from its daily broadcast schedule and before you know it, no matter how popular the show still is overseas, it’ll be cancelled. CBS doesn’t care that the show is popular over in Europe, they don’t make any extra profits because of that, Brad Bell is the one who makes the profits.

Yand R is going to be awesome! Love Adam and Sally. The hunt for Phyllis will be good too. JMO

Agreeing, Loving Victoria and Nake, although, it won't go any place, but enjoying that storyline. I am still hoping for Adam and Chelsea, they are friends for now.

Plus today seems like Sharon has a stalker. Hopefully that means Sharon (SC) has a really good story coming up and maybe Nick will eventually be drawn back to her by helping and protecting her from whoever is stalking her. As long as it gets Nick out of Sally’s orbit, I’ll be happy can’t stand Sally and Nick.
