What do you guys think the writers are going to do with this SL?

I think we are going to get #1 in Italy. I think the part Liam won't see in Italy is #2. Then I think Hope will be angry that Liam won't listen to her, right after he promised that nothing would ever change his love for her, then #3 will happen. I also think she will find out she is pregnant by Liam after he leaves her and she and Tom are starting to connect, so that is #4. I don't think they will do a paternity test, but maybe, just to knock her off her sanctimonious high horse about being nothing like her mother or Steffy. I read today at a video spoiler site, that Hope is medically sick and it is causing this situation....so maybe #6 too. I think they might do all the scenarios you mention. But, the scenario I do not think is going to happen is Thope, for longer than a few months.

Stress about her line in trouble. Let's not forget Steffy blindsided Hope with her "unreasonable" ultimatum..either Thomas coming back or the line is paused/gone..how was that not stress for her given that HFTF is her professional baby for many years. Smh.

Lope is a long established romantic couple..they are the endgame couple no different than Bridge. So anyone that came between them or being inserted by the writers..IS an angst. Thomas is a Lope angst no different than Steffy/Wyatt. I'm still not convinced Bell will actually "go there", but even if it happens, Thope will only be temporary. Hope and Liam will always find ways back to each other..no different than Brooke and Ridge IMO.

Hope should set Liam free when this story is just getting started? Seems to me that Hope is still trying to figure out what's going on. She hasn't even done anything wrong. She hasn't cheated on Liam. A marriage should end over someone's thoughts? I gotta disagree with that.

What do you guys think the writers are going to do with this SL?

1) Would have been more realistic if Thomas and Hope kissed weeks ago, in a moment of weakness, because of some misunderstanding between her and Liam. The fact that Thomas hasn't kissed her yet despite the temptation tells me this story will be more complex than a simple "mistake kiss" that can never happen again (done again and again on this soap).
2) is possible, but then what? Where is the drama once he rejects her? Thomas is redeemed and moved on, and Hope is humiliated in the worst possible way and loses everything? I doubt it.
3) Would be OOC for Liam. I could be wrong, but I don't think Liam will hate Thomas anymore once he knows the truth. He may (should) never forgive him for some of his manipulations, but I can't see him throwing accusations at Thomas about Hope forever if he knows about Hope's feelings. Anyway, he has no ground to take Beth. The only person on his side would be Bill. Who else would support him?
4) is possible. I would be ok with this one but I doubt it about the baby...
5) Definitely no. These SL are for Steffy. I am all for a Thomas-Hope-Liam triangle, but no WTD. Frankly, I don't think Hope is having a baby anytime soon. She already has a child with both guys, this is unlikely she gets a 2nd child with one of them
6) Not if it means Lope happy in the backburner again for the next couple of years. And no because it doesn't make sense... If Hope was talking to a Thomas mannequin, hearing voices and seeing ghosts of Thomas, I would see the tumor or illness as a possibility, but it's not what's happening.

Why can't they have real angst? Even if I like the couple, I don't see anything catastrophic if they get a divorce and they both move on for a while. And I don't mind if Hope is truly torn between the 2 guys and bounces back and forth at least once. Bridge is the ultimate supercouple of B&B yet they were away from each other for years more than once (between 1992 and 1994, between 1998 and 2002, between 2012 and 2017). Even if Lope are endgame, they shouldn't be together indefinitely. I would like Lope to have a long adult, honest, rational talk and realize they need a break. And they try again in 1 year or 2.

The one thing I don't want to see is Hope sleeping with Thomas and trying to cover it up (paternity test or not). Been there, done that with Brooke, Steffy, Bridget, Margot, Amber. We just had 2 similar stories in a short time with Steffy.
The other thing is I hope they don't make Thomas obsessed or manipulative again, especially if they are really going there with Thope. I can't overlook some of the things he did, but I always liked him more than Steffy, Ridge and Taylor. He is way more likable the way he is now. Never thought MA should have played a villain. I don't mind Hope being in love with him if he is sane, healthy and treats her well (his past will always be a problem, but the present is more important).

I am with Torval regarding the back burner argument. This is exactly what's gonna happen if Lope kiss and make up in the end. I will be disappointed if all this drama leads to 2 months of separation and then Lope living HEA in the backburner. Even the best supercouples should take breaks and explore other things. SC said what he learns will change everything. AN said this stroyline is about Hope realizing she is flawed and human. I prefer to watch Hope making mistakes and waffling than no Hope at all and the dreadful BRT triangle and Sheila/Sinn hogging my screen until Lope's next big story in 2025. But it's just me...

I don't think the issue is Hope cheating or not, I think the issue is how gross and disgusting and wrong it would be to cheat with the man that wanted her child to be dead, and stay dead. At least it is for me. I think Bell made a huge mistake to pick Tom as the one Hope gets horny for, they could have done Wyatt and the backlash would be less. IF Bell lets these 2 couple up even for a few days, then what that means for some of us viewers is, Hope is a very very bad and selfish mother. Something no other woman on this show has been. Brooke, Taylor, Steffy, Stephanie, etc. all cheated and did bad things, but never did they take up with a man that wanted their child to stay dead, and hid the baby that they believe did die. Tom doing that puts him in the same wheelhouse as Reese, Morgan, Sheila and others who are thought of as total pieces of scum. Even IF Lope breaks up and Thope hook up..this trio ain't gonna remain front and center for years and years. As much as I love Hope, it's not reasonable to believe she will be front and center for many years. That's not how this show works. Regardless how this trio ends, once this major story is over..it's over. Especially since Bell already said that after Rome, he's focusing on RJ and the next gen. I don't think Hope will be backburnered given that RJ is her brother.
