Why am I even a little interested in this show? (General)

My favorite has always been Brooke but they haven’t had a decent S/L in years. I have never caught on with Thorsten being Ridge. A long lost brother would have been better. Haven’t liked Hope since Kim Matula. Never liked Taylor or Steffy.
All the other goofy characters on this show I have 0 to no interest in.
Maybe I have just gotten older and bored. They bring new characters on when they could bring back Thorne, Rick and their sisters. Really get back into fashion. Not the garbage they are doing with Thomas and Hope. Nothing like the old fashion shows

I for one agree 100% with everything you said. I watched religiously from 1996 to 2012. When Ronn and Susan left, my interest waned a LOT, but I still watched up til about 2018, then I stopped and couldn’t take it anymore. Every episode and every scene were Hope/Liam/Steffy/Wyatt. I liked Steffy when she was younger but her character became annoying when she got older. Hope/Liam/Wyatt, I never liked any of these characters at all. I did like Kim Matula’s hope but the current one, I can’t stand her at all. Liam and Wyatt are a couple of my least favorite characters of all time. Brad destroyed the entire Spectra clan, which also destroyed the show. They could have kept them all after Connelly died. I tried watching again when the show came back from the pandemic break in 2020 but it was sooooo horrible, more than I ever remembered and never watched since. I just come here to find out whats going on, and if things improved, and they haven’t. The show now, as it is, is complete garbage, and I don’t know how anyone actually still watches it.

That’s not true that your opinion doesn’t mean much. Everyone’s opinion is valid and important.

But yeah I haven’t been watching just reading what is going on.

I only took interest in the show again after Throoke ended when Brooke and Bridget had their confrontation about Breacon.

I always loved Brooke and was shocked to hear she had an affair with her daughters husband.

When I tuned in, immediately my interest and sympathy for Brooke was back. I was back to paying attention to the show from then on.

When Hope was aged into Kim Matula’s version I became an instant fan of the Hope character. A wonderful heroine, she was.

And the recast was even better imo.

I will always love Brooke and Hope and their actresses but the way Hope is being treated sickens me.

I think this is all one big plot to make sympathy for Liam and make an excuse for him to run to Steffy and disrespect her marriage.

Next, they’ll be coming for Finn, throwing him under the bus because otherwise it wouldn’t be the least bit believable that Steffy would leave a hot, hunky, sexy, sweet and loyal doctor for the likes of Liam.

It isn't that interesting, and I agree about KM as Hope. I liked a flawed Hope who could do outrageous things. I don't know about this mousy goodie goodie Hope who is kind of condescending. The characters are all becoming more and more canonized, and caricature like. Steffy, too. She's canned. I don't know what they can do because it's becoming like a cartoon.

For me it’s habit. I watched with my older relatives. They are in heaven now but it gives me warm feelings remembering gossiping with grandparents and aunts and uncles about soaps.

I do like TK as Ridge, and my favorite has always been KKL and Brooke, too. I would love to see her get a really good SL.

I quit watching the show around Thanksgiving or Christmas but started watching again a few weeks ago. Think I'll stop again, though as the show really is boring and predictable.

I totally agree with you. Only interesting thing character is Sheila.

Your opinion means a lot because if Bell loses viewers- at some point - there goes the show!

I liked KM, but I much prefer AN's Hope..this Hope is much more confident and isn't afraid to go up against nasty Steffy and call her out on her crap. AN is fantastic..great actress IMO.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
