That's why I said he won't be a psycho. He can be a bit manipulative without being a full-blown villain.

And having a secret doesn't necesseraly mean dark secret. If he is gay or if he already has a family, it doesn't make him a bad person. Maya being transgender didn't make her a horrible person.

I just hope they have more in store for him than this family lovefest and an ingenue puppy love.

Anyway, I hope so. He is friendly, nice looking and seems like a good guy, but it almost seems to good to be true. If Bell is serious about making RJ the new Ridge, I doubt he will remain squeaky clean forever. It sure doesn't look like he will be a designer for Hope. The pressuring from Ridge didn't work well.

I think I heard it in the Bold Live, the actor thinks RJ has a secret. Maybe the rumor that he is gay is true. Maybe he is already married with a baby and his wife is living in another continent. Maybe he has an illness. A secret doesn't necesseraly have to be dark, it could be anything. I hope they find something very soapy like they did for Maya. It's time for a major character to have a huge secret.

And it so unbelievable, if the kid is all this why did you send him away, now the world stand still because the kid home, makes no sense. Get a life Ridge, but his comment about him and Brooke just cooling it was interesting, doesn't sound as if Ridge is interested in getting back with his wife.

And if this should happen I suppose it would be the end of Hope's fascination with Tom.
It would be kind of a test for Tom if he really changed.

Doubt he's gay..wasn't there a thread mentioning a new young leading lady as his love interest coming? And that the new young couple are suppose to be the next supercouple? Not to mention, Bell already said he's building the next gen starting with RJ.

Given the fact Bell gave new Taylor a clean slate..I'm pretty sure he will do the same with the new RJ giving him a clean slate as well. MA is too good as a villain for Bell to just have him be a permanent saint..and judging by how Thomas didn't look happy to me at all when he heard/saw RJ back. Looks like RJ is Ridge's new fave child, I think Thomas will be jealous..sooner or later, Thomas' nasty true colors will come out and scheme against RJ. JMO.

I didn’t like the Maya SL. It was a rewrite coming from nowhere and there was nothing to tell afterwards. Maya is a trans so what. And RJ being gay wouldn’t be a big deal either

IMO That's because Maya was a complete rewrite the audience had been told that she had a daughter and all kinds of other details. RJ being gay wouldn't be a huge deal but it would be different and you would get to see the different dynamics.

I did not like the Maya storyline EITHER. PLUS her parents became ANNOYING. They clearly botched her storyline and character. She is a beautiful actress, singer and very talented. But that sort of storytelling needs to be clearly thought out before the character is introduced. How did Bell approve that twist?

He needs something. And no, it doesn't have to be evil. The actor is good, but a little surprise would be interesting.
