Jack was in love? Or thought she was evil? (General)

Which is it? I thought Jack told everyone that he convinced Sheila to give Finn up because she was unstable.

Sheila's telling a different story and he's not correcting her. So which is it? You guys remember what Jack said back when it came out about him and Sheila? And he said Li wasn't returning his calls since she heard who Finn's mom was, but I thought her and jack had talked. Didn't Finn say that around Christmas 2021?

Well, people can love unstable people, so maybe he loved her knowing she was unstable. I think it's probably just sloppy writing, though.

To me it looks like the writing is totally inconsistent, erratic and negligent.
There is no master plan behind this, it rather looks like there's a different writer each week.
First Jack was a nobody, now we suddenly learn that he is LA's best defense lawyer - wouldn't Finn have already mentioned that when he presented his parents at the wedding?
And if Jack is really LA's best defense attorney and so good looking, why would he be lonely and need the company of the woman who shot his son?
I don't know about LA, but here in Austria famous defense lawyers can have their pick of beautiful women, especially if they look like Jack.

I would like to know when Jack said he loved her. If he said it after she became pregnant, he probably said it with the plan to get his child. Now that we know he’s attorney, he figured out how to legally make it work. He was probably just playing the part.

I seem to remember Finn telling Steffy that Li and Jack had talked and was trying to work everything out. The writers forget what they wrote within the last few years.
