Still terrible compared to the first 2 decades or even the 2010s. The writing is still bad BUT...

1 year ago there was only 1 story at a time. The bottle switch, Finn's fake death; with the the parent trap in the middle. Plus a Paris triangle. 3 unending and dreadful plots.

I didn't like Ridge/Bill/Deacon's plan to trap Sheila but as bad as it was, it was still better than Sheila's crazy obsession with her son and grandson. Bad writing, but good final twist. And I'm sure Sheila will be back before the end of the year, with a revenge plan. Until then I hope they keep Steffy-Finn backburned (no more Leffy cheating please)

I like the idea that Hope is torn. It's about time Hope and Liam have a decent storyline. Knowing how successful the baby switch was (won the Emmy of the best writing), I'm shocked it took so long to bring them back front and center.

As loco as Thomas is, I'm happy the show is finally acknowledging the chemistry between AN and MA. I prefer a torn Hope over a delusional Thomas. Controversial couple but it brings endless possibilities. Hope is in a huge quandary and I can't wait to see how she handles it. Biggest turning point in her life.

I don't like Brooke and Taylor's friendship but glad they're no longer crying over Ridge. Happy to see Brooke trying to date another guy (Hollis). Even if it doesn't amount to anything, at least she gave it a try. I still hate Taylor but was glad to hear her acknowledging Ridge was the biggest problem (and not Brooke).

Excited to see Eric and Donna's upcoming storylines. I liked Eric and Quinn in the beginning but I was done after her affair with Ridge. I think Donna is Eric's true soulmate because he only went back to Stephanie after Donna dumped him, and now he dumped Quinn for Donna. I hope Eric lives until 100 and spends his last years with her.

Happy Stephen sticking around. A lot of histroy to revisit here, especially between Stephen and Eric and the Logans. He is Brooke's father and a legacy character, I will never see him as an intruder. Lucy seems like a wonderful person, and I hope she sticks around too.

RJ's return... endless possibilities too. I have seen Josh Hoffman in a lifetime thriller with Lindsey Godrey (ex-Caroline), he is both sexy and talented. Great choice.

Don't care much for Katie and Carter but a triangle with Bill could spice things up. This would be the first time Bill has to fight for her, it was always the other way around until now. If she chooses Bill, surely they will fast find a new target for Carter (Steffy or Taylor maybe?)

Paris-Zende... give them a baby or have Grace fall for Zende. The couple is boring so far but witht the right storyline, they will work.

The reveal of Deacon's secret with Sheila will also be interesting, especially from Hope's perspective. I hope they don't try to minimize his involvment. It wasn't just a careless mistake, he hid Sheila for months and lied to everyone. Make it an explosive reveal that sends Hope over the edge.

The best thing is it's not as predictable as last year. It was obvious Ridge and Brooke would be manipulated by Sheila and Taylor's kids. Finn being alive was one of the most predictable twists. Paris and Carter were too mismatched. This time there are a lot of unpredictable storylines. How far will Hope go with Thomas and how will Liam react? Will Brooke crack or move on from Ridge? Is Taylor's pact sincere? Will Katie go back to Bill or stay with Carter? What is Eric and Donna's surprise story? When and how will Sheila escape? How will RJ's return fit? Etc...

I will probably change my mind for the umpeenth time later. But at the moment, I think the show is tolerable. (In my opinion)

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

I can’t agree. I’ve hated this year more.

Thope makes no sense. So after 4 or 5 years of his stalking Hope, now suddenly he might have gotten to her? It doesn’t work like that and the show shouldn’t portray it that it does.

I don’t want to see Katie in the middle of Carter and Bill. She obviously loves Bill and she would just be using Carter to delay the inevitable and that wouldn’t be right and not really in character for Katie.

It's possible Katie will really be torn between Bill and Carter. We don't know what will happen right now. I don't feel sorry for Carter anyway, after his ongoing affair with Quinn. He betrayed Eric for months and humiliated Zoe and Paris, it's hard to feel bad if Katie dumps him.

Regarding Liam Thomas and Hope, I'm just happy to see something new. The last 3 years have been pretty boring for Lope. A triangle will always be more interesting if the person in the middle is a little divided.

I have big hopes for the new RJ.

Last year was a drag, with some of the worst writing ever. Finn's fake death and the parent trap were 2 of the dullest stories ever for me

I disagree this show isn’t better. All the characters are gone Thorne Felicia Kristen Macy, Amber, should I go on?

Justin barber should return to this show and be Grace Buckingham’s love interest.

Also another woman need to come
Between Zende and Paris how about Nicole Avant or Mary Carter Warwick.

Carter is not an option for Steffy, since she is now with her liberty mutual doctor Finnegan. And if that wasn’t enough they also have a son together.

Taylor isn’t either.

I miss the Quinn character she need to return for Carter. And if Katie wants Bill back then so be it.

Eric and Donna is nothing but fast forward material for me. I’m not going to see them. Donna is beautiful she need a new love interest on the show. Or she should return as Grace Turner on young and the restless.

I agree about Thorne/Felicia/Kristen. I agree about Justin. I agree about Quinn and Bill and Katie. Same for Zende and Paris. I agree they need more women.

The show is better than it was last year. At the very least it is not boring and there are interesting things on the horizon.

I also wish they would do something with Zende and Paris. Perhaps with RJ joining the show, we will see them more. But no babies yet. Paris is so young she has a career. Young professional women in LA aren't having babies at 24 she should be having fun.

I don't believe we have seen the final twist in the Sheila/Deacon/Bill story yet. As of right now, I think this was one of the worst-written stories I have ever seen on this show. Sheila was written completely out of character. The plan made absolutely no sense. It was written like a cartoon.
The only saving grace was the actors. Perhaps when it is all said and done, some of the choices will make more sense then I will take it back. I doubt we will get another Sheila escaping story in less than a year, so it will be something else and soon.

I wonder if Stephen is the person that will be unhappy about Donna & Eric.
That would make sense considering their history.

Deacon's secret will most certainly come out in time for May sweeps, and I think it will have a big impact on Hope, especially considering the other stuff she is dealing with right now.

I can't bring myself to care about Katie, Bill, or Carter. But one of the biggest problems with this show has been the focus on one storyline at a time, and right now, it seems like they are trying to have A, B, C, and D stories, so even though I'm not interested it is a step in the right direction.

I think the show is more balanced this year than last year. And since Steffy has been in every single story since Sheila's return..I would very much like to see Steffy back burnered for a bit. Especially since RJ is returning, let him be in a major story instead. And more villain Sheila I don't mind at all.:-D

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
