Any prediction about new RJ ? (General)

I see many on social medias suggesting he will be gay. It'd be plausible. We've only seen him with 1 woman (Coco Spectra) and it didn't go further than a few dates. The actor was 17 so it isn't like he was too young to have sex. Honestly, I don't think it's a bad idea. There are only 7 (series regular) women on canvas and 5 of them are blood related. That only leaves Taylor (who is old enough to be his grandmother) and Paris (who is already taken and she is hardly ever on anyway). They don't even need to bring another guy for him, at least not now. The sole "secret" narrative would be interesting. It would give Brooke and Ridge a juicy, innovative storyline.

It's hard to take any triangle with Paris in it seriously. I don't think she herself knows what it is she really wants. Or maybe it's Brad Bell that has no idea what he wants for her. One moment she's in a relationship with Zende, the next they are just friends. She was fantasizing about Finn last year, and then got engaged to Carter but rebounded rather quickly from him when he ditched her at the altar. At least she was honest with Thomas when he told her his feelings. I think she would just be playing both men if there was a triangle with Zende and RJ. I hope they're bringing back RJ for more than just this teeny bopper story.

I don't trust Bell with this kind of social stories. The only gay story I remember is Karen-Danielle and he treated it as an afterthought once Bill found out. We never saw them on a date. I've seen how he handles addiction stories. The last one with Steffy was a complete bust and made her look like a negligent mother using her doctor for drugs and lying to everyone. Alcoholism storylines are always butchered before it starts. Making RJ gay would be a good idea but I'm sure Bell would find a way to make RJ unlikable and write him off again. I won't make prediction but I agree about the parent trap. The only thing I'd love is to see him reading Thomas to filth. He has tortured his mother and his sister for years, someone has to say it like it is.

How about he is not Ridge's son? RJ is one of the paternities what could be easily revisited. They all thought Nick was the father for a long time. I like the gay theory, but I doubt they would do it for real

I wouldn't be mad at a Paris/RJ hook-up. We need some younger romance. But gay would honestly be better. The idea that there are no gay characters on a fashion-oriented show in LA is ludicrous.

The problem with same-sex couples on a show with such a small cast is having someone for him to date. They can cast one person, but that means they can never break up. I truly think that has been the hesitation.

I do believe RJ WILL be the one to save his sister from Thomas.
RJ will likely be at the office. Potentially Ridge will put him there for that reason.
Thomas could do nothing to prevent RJ from getting in his way. The fact he IS Hope's brother means he'll protect her.

Actors or characters younger than 18 have never been shown having sex on the show. So I wouldn't read too much into the fact that RJ and Coco's relationship didn't go further than a few dates.
And RJ being gay could only become a juicy storyline if we had any reason to believe that either Brooke or Ridge would have a problem with having a gay son. I doubt Bell would ever think of writing them this way when not even Bill Spencer, who had actually come across as slightly homophobic before, had a problem with learning about his sister being married to a woman almost a decade ago.
I also don't believe that Bell would ever limit a future leading man's love interests to men only. We all know that Bell can't do without triangles, and a triangle with 3 gay men is practically impossible on a show with such a small cast.

He wouldn't even need to be better than Thomas, he would just need to be better than Zende, who's hardly older than him. And even Thorne, who had never been a designer in 30 years, was suddenly good enough to work on one of FC's signature lines after doing a few sketches in Europe. So I don't think it would be a stretch if college graduate RJ came back to LA with a few fresh new ideas to rejuvenate HFTF.

That was his storyline last time, when he was played by a totally different type of actor. I don't think the show has hired an actor with a much more impressive physical appearance just to waste him on the same storyline of trying to put his parents back together.

I doubt he will be gay. I would hate it if he's in a triangle with Zende and Paris, but I guess it's possble with Paris seemed to run around eyeing all these hot guys at FC. And what's not to like in RJ? He's young, handsome, and rich.

Personally, I think he will come back eager to impress his father with some designs, and Ridge will probably give him an opportunity to be part of the HFTF. Thomas will start to get jealous of RJ getting attention from their dad and probably back to scheming again because he's worried that RJ will eventually replace him as the lead designer for the line. Just my guess.
