The Logan vendetta started when drugged Ridge slept with Taylor and Thomas stole Brooke's cellphone. They conspired to keep Ridge away from her until the wedding. Ridge went back to Brooke and Steffy was furious. Then Bill took over Forrester and appointed Katie CEO. Steffy tried to seduce Bill and Katie fired her. She disliked Bridget because she had a thing for Owen and he cheated on Jackie with Bridget, Steffy wasn't pleased about it. She also disliked Donna because Eric was with her over Stephanie. Then she disliked Hope because she wanted Oliver started blackmailing her when he slept with Brooke. It was really one thing after another.

It was a beautifully written love story up until Ridge recorded Rick saying derogatory things about Steffy (that's what I meant when I said in my other post that his hatred for Ridge was stronger). She did forgive him but things just weren't the same after that.

I agree. But he still used language to describe her that he shouldn't have. Steffy eventually forgave him but was very upset at first.

I agree. I also think it had to be hard to be Ridge’s brother. It think it was hard for Thorne too. Both Rick and Thorne are true Forresters but like everyone else, they were set aside for Ridge Marone. Ridge with his huge ego never gave a crap about how they felt. It was always about him. They stuck Thorne in the basement at FC. Stephanie always put Ridge above Thorne. I like Ronn Moss better but always wanted Ridge to get kicked out of Forresters. Not even a true Forrester. In fact, while Ridge was away finding himself, FC did much better under Rick and Eric shipped him off to Europe

We never really learnt why they broke up. They got engaged before before he told Ridge he was using her. Steffy called it off, but later they got back together. They disappeared off screen for some time and when they came back, they were no longer a couple. The official reasons were never specified.

I do not believe that was true.. I think getting under Ridge's skin was just an added bonus. Rick was willing to put his feelings toward Ridge behind him. It was Ridge's (Taylor and Stephanie's) hate towards Rick that got in the way of that relationship. They mutually decided that it wouldn't work because those 3 would always get in the way.

I would too. And Eric's other children and grandchildren as well. It's weird that Zende is on screen but we hear nothing about his parents.

He wasn’t any worse than Ridge and most of the others. Unlike Thorne the wimp, Rick wasn’t afraid to give crap back to Ridge. I loved that about him. Rick took nothing that Ridge dished out. Reminded Ridge that he was Eric Forrester, Jr by blood.

I agree with you. I don’t think they can write for anyone new. They can barely even writers for characters that are already on screen.

Well he is not Taylor, Steffy, nor Thomas so I don't expect much except more bullying and scheming against the Logan's... Those three will treat him like he is lesser and ignore the fact that he unfortunately shares their DNA.. I imagine biology will not matter so much to them when it concerns Brooke and Ridge's son. Great idea to bring Rick back. One of the best characters on the show and he doesn’t back down from Ridge. In fact he has been known to put Ridge in his place. After all he is Eric Forrester Jr and a true Forrester unlike Ridge
