Who "drove" Taylor to it? (General)

Today, Friday, Brooke said Taylor had been "driven" to shoot Bill. How is that? Taylor just said the other day and has said twice now that she'd been under the wrong assumption about Bill. How was she driven to that?

Who drove Taylor to have the wrong assumption about Bill? Who forced Taylor into feeling there was no other way but to shoot Bill in the back?

I guess the writers put this dialogue this way for a reason. I just don't know what that reason is.

Sounds like saying Taylor had been "driven" to shoot Bill..is just another excuse to overlook her crime as a no big deal. Kinda like claiming it was a "mistake". These excuses are so ridiculous IMO.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

Perhaps she meant she was "driven" to shoot Bill by Ridge, or better what Ridge told her, that Bill had raped Steffy?
But blaming Ridge will not work because an adult woman (and loving mother) would certainly meet her daughter as soon as her plane landed and talk to her poor raped girl, wouldn´t she?
Then poor raped Steffy would tell her it was consesual...like she already told Ridge btw....but Taylor reacted like an insane person full of hate.

My guess is that it wasn't a "who" Brooke was referring to but a "what."

I don't think anyone can take too seriously the exact words the writers use.

I think it simply meant that whatever she was told or thought about Bill "taking" advantage of her sweet daughter, messed up her head so (yet she IS the professional) that she could not think rationally and she had no other choice but go confront Bill. That is her story, that she did not go there to kill him, but to confront him. Seems like to me she would have got her ducks in a row and talked to Steffy first to get her side of the story. And then only if Steffy lied and put the blame on Bill would Taylor have charged over there.

This is true, but I think Brooke was speaking in context of the shooting, not confrontation. Katie said Bill almost lost his father. Brooke said she knew and Taylor was haunted by what she'd done and "sickened by what she'd been driven to." So I assume that's the actual shooting.

To make it known she did it under stress…

Did Brooke tell Katie what happened- that they had sex and Taylor thought Bill pushed himself on Steffy?
Also - Taylor is really weak. I mean she is not a strong woman. Whiney.

My hope is that the show stops saying these kinds of things if they have no intention of filling in the blanks.

That is the biggest dialogue problem. The characters act like they will just say anything.

I think it is just one more attempt to make Taylor into a victim, which she isn’t. It doesn’t matter how many people say it, fact is Taylor is just seeing the consequences of her own actions and its time the whiny coward faced it. And much as she pretends to be a child with her actions, another fact is she’s a freaking sixty year old. It’s high time she started acting her age and taking some responsibility.

She thought daughter was raped…I think she should get sympathy she was wrong but it was his gun she saw red and shot him it wasn’t planed …on law and order she would’ve skated..she lost it, he didn’t press charges so she skated anyway
