Taylor acting like a love sick puppy that has falling in love with Ridge for the first time......wait it is because she a recast.

I've been asking this question for months. What even was the point of recasting her as Taylor when her whole past, her whole history, even her mannerisms, her character, her class and sophistication have all been erased? Why make Taylor into this ridiculous caricature that could not be any further from the original version instead of casting this actress in a brand new role?

Exactly. I don't mind this actress or making Taylor her own, but the core of who Taylor is totally gone. I can't stand Taylor, but she's suppose to be sophisticated..this version certainly ain't that with that teenybopper mannerism. Plus, it's hard to accept this Taylor when her very flawed past is completely erased. Might as well cast this actress as a new character..who knows..I might even like her new character?

It made sense that the original Taylor looked down upon Brooke because even though she herself was from the valley she had adopted all the mannerisms from the higher class. She had decorum and was always well dressed and beautifully groomed with not a hair out of place. This new version slurps noodles, doesn't comb her hair and puts dirty feet on sofas. And she has zero dress sense and giggles like a clingy, lovesick teenager. Exactly what does she have that she can look down on Brooke? I actually feel bad for Brooke that this is who she has for competition now. Not to mention I find it funny that Steffy and Thomas call this immature version mom when they both act so much more grown up than her.

Yeah, it's just weird to me when I watch Tridge now..it's like watching Ridge with a teenager who has a crush on him. I never liked creepy Caridge, but even Caroline #2 acted more mature than this Taylor who sits on a desk at a work place or throws grapes at her adult son.

Yes! Same here. I found that grape throwing really weird. Caroline 2 acted true to her age. I didn’t find her immature. She was a millennial obsessed with followers and likes on social media which lots of millenials are. Taylor is supposed to be over sixty. Its so embarrassing to see a woman her age act like that.

Yeah, it's embarrassing for a grandma on this show to act like a giggly teenybopper.

JMO but even if she had been cast as a new character I don't see Ridge being attracted to a giddy immature flakey teeny bopper. Maybe the older woman for Thomas but not Ridge.

Yeah, she would have been perfect as Thomas's new mature love interest..I saw chemistry between them when she threw grapes at him. IMO.

And when he was taking to her on her wedding day wearing her shortie lingerie.

That was kinda a creepy scene for an adult son with his mother given what she was wearing.

I don’t understand what they were trying to accomplish in changing Taylor‘s character so dramatically. AN was able to step into the Hope role very easily. The one thing they did change was the emphasis that Liam and Hope had been married, whereas we thought the marriage was annulled immediately. It took a little longer to accept the new Ridge because physically he was very different, and he had a very different demeanor. The problem with this Taylor is that she behaves less maturely than Steffy and Thomas. It’s hard to think of her as their sophisticated world renowned mother. In fact, it’s feels like a joke.

This is the reason people think she seems so young, or appears so young, her childish behavior and teenage wardrobe.

I don't think the character seems young, just silly and incredibly immature.

I agree Bella. Her behaviour makes her come across as very immature. I find it so weird when Steffy and Thomas call her mom.

We keep going down this road with this topic. First, KA is beautiful, and she is funny, and she seems very kind. I think she would be fun to meet and be friends with IRL. I also think she looks every bit her real life years, which is A-Ok, but younger than her characters age. Sun damage ages people skin. And I think KA should be commended for speaking out on that subject and trying to discourage people from harming themselves by going out in the sun without protection.
