Why were cops so quick to accept Sheila’s death? (General)

Best question of the week, Carter. I know it’s a soap but the writers continue to make cops look like idiots.

Makes for better drama. Well, more drama, not better. We all know in reality, the police would have figured out what Finn figured out.

I thought from the start it was really odd how the police just accepted that Sheila was for sure dead. So they had her severed toe…they have no forensic pathologists in LA? Quincy? Only Finn wanted to examine things more closely? And 15 seconds under the microscope and he could see a bear was most likely not involved…but he got a second opinion at the hospital and that person agreed with his analysis. The writiers are really pushing the limit to expect viewers to believe that the police had no forensic investigators to at least whip out a microscope and check out the toe as a Finn did.
