I do agree, they all had a hand in what Thomas did, including his immature father.

No one forced Thomas to make all those mistakes.No one made him plot with Sheila and no one made him bully his son. His immature father and sister are jerks but he is still responsible for the choices he makes.

I am not excusing Thomas, but I agree with the poster that stated "Steffy did enough by exposing him at the wedding." If Ridge represented anything that reflects a man, none of this would have happened. And just as Thomas is reponsible, so is Ridge Forrester.

I am torn. On the one hand, considering all of the crap Ridge has done over the years, it seems excessive. Ridge is going so hard on him because he doesn't want to acknowledge his role in this mess. I don't recall Ridge being fired when he schemed to keep Thomas away from his son.
I do, however, understand the idea that he got away with so much around the baby Beth story that everyone has had it with him. Steffy also isn't innocent in this..

I don't know why they should. Steffy was trying to destroy Brooke for an entire year. She STILL wants Ridge to marry Taylor. And she only stopped the wedding because she wanted the parent trap to work on its own, without manipulation. She's still all about it.

Not sure why she needs a trophy for doing the right thing. Besides, she didn't do it for Brooke or Hope. She did it because she's delusional enough to believe her parent trap would have worked on its own without the lies. And also she's smart enough to realize Douglas wouldn't have kept quiet for too much longer. He would have told Hope eventually.

Actually Steffy's turnaround happened in time so Ridge was not mad at her too...she did it for Douglas mostly but if the boy hadn't found out she probably would have congratulated Tom on his good idea.

Just goes to show the ring leader Steffy is a snake..she did ONE good deed and gets a total pass while Thomas is the only one paying/suffering the consequences when the truth is Steffy has been Thomas's partner in crime for so many months.

And had it not been Douglas involved....yeah, she would have congratulated Thomas on his good idea. IMO, Douglas is the true hero here with NO strings attached.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
