I agree and I like the way Steffy vs Thomas echos Ridge vs Thorne from the beginning. They are much more interesting as rivals than just Steffy and her sidekick.

I loved it too. It's refreshing when the actors actually say stuff that relates to what we're watching, rather than baloney like "Taylor has never let Ridge down"! I'm glad TK also emphasized again that the phone call is what changed everything. It couldn't possibly be any clearer now that Ridge would still be with Brooke if it hadn't been for the CPS call.

There's no claiming she didn't know...like when Stephanie would do something underhanded for Taylor...and she had enough plausible deniability to save herself in Ridge's eyes. This time...she knew before she walked down that aisle...and only stopped because her own daughter told the truth.

EXCEPT it is & WILL be Brooke’s fault. Why? Because she had the nerve to confront Sheila & defend the stepdaughter who hates her for no reason at all, had to listen to her call her a slut for the umpteenth time. Brooke was getting in the way of her scheming with Deacon. She got in the way of her chance of using Finn/Hayes as a way to weasel into the Forrester household.
What was her punishment? Falling off the wagon on New Year’s Eve by drinking champagne (that she believed was non-alcoholic). She gets blamed for kissing Deacon & waking up in bed with him, but they never had sex. Fans accuse her of gaslighting Douglas into keeping quiet about the kiss, yet are mute over Thomas the victim yelling at Douglas because he called him out for lying about Beth.
Meanwhile, as all this is happening, Brooke is continuously beating herself up over what lead her to drink in the first place. We’ve had to listen to Steffy on loop trashing Brooke & painting her mother as a saint who’d NEVER once thought about committing adultery behind her husband’s back. Taylor is the one without sin who’d never done anything wrong in her entire life, while Brooke was always held accountable for her shiz, yet fans want to moan about how she’d always been excused for her actions.
Please. She’ll never live down what she did behind her daughter’s or sister’s backs. She’ll never be allowed to trash the Tridge bratz in the same fashion as they’d done to her, yet is expected to give them respect, plus ignore everything they’d done to her over the years in order to make sure that their family were once again reunited together.
Her husband has allowed himself to be manipulated for the 2nd time, the first time being Vegas Wedding gate. He has allowed his overgrown children to relentlessly drag his wife through the mud & preach to him about how horrible she’d always been to him & that their mother had always been the right woman for him, because of her lies.
Aspen was manipulation. Moving in with Steffy at the cliff house, so they can finally be a “happy family” was manipulation. The kiss in Monaco was manipulation. Taylor has always manipulated to get what she wants. ALWAYS. And now Brooke is at fault for a CPS call she NEVER even made, but it’s the fact that she threatened to call CPS that makes it her fault because poor, innocent wronged Thomas had not proven to be a stable father to Douglas & was sniffling around Hope yet again.
Brooke is at fault because she made a vow to keep Sheila away from Sinn’s son. She’s NOT the reason why her marriage blew up entirely. All she did was share a drunken kiss with a man whom her rapist hubby loathes & kept it hidden from him. Taylor is sharing kisses with him, traveling halfway around the world with him, fantasizing about rebuilding the family she’d always believed was wrongfully stolen from her, plus she got to ride him, ALL while he was still married to Brooke. Yet, who’s always looked at as the home wrecker? HER.
All this could’ve been avoided had she just minded her own business?! Sheila is a damn sociopath, but Brooke shouldn’t have said anything to her. Unreal.

The reason I discount Ridge and Thomas is because I don't consider their relationship strong when compared to Taylor and Steffy or Steffy and Thomas. But you may be right and it could be them.

This may be more interesting than people think. I think with casting a new Taylor, they may take Taylor down a very dark path. She already shot a man in the back and left him to die, on purpose, without even considering that his 7 year old son could have been in the home. That wasn't just having a "bad time", that was evil. Tom is evil. It could be this is going to morph into Taylor becoming more like Sheila, feeling that everyone has turned on her, let her down, not understood her, etc. It is possible that Taylor and Sheila may become cohorts in some way. I think Taylor might end up hating Ridge. And, I think it is possible that she will be even more snarky and rotten toward Brooke, and like Shelia, blame Brooke for all her own self made problems. This could come down to Taylor/Tom against Steffy/Ridge and Brooke.

Agreed. This could be the shot in the arm the show has been needing for a long time now. This past year has been the worst in the shows history...no exaggeration. An unholy alliance of Taylor/Sheila/Thomas vs Brooke/Ridge/Steffy would finally give us some actually new storylines to talk about.

If Steffy allows Taylor to pretend Taylor wouldn't know, it would be Steffy lying by omission, so I don't think she does it. Steffy is all about the truth right now for Ridge's sake, the parent who has always been there for her. Ridge owes a great big "thank you" to his daughter and an even bigger "I'm sorry, it was all my fault" and more to Brooke.

I really think Ridge will only turn his anger on Thomas, and leave Taylor out of it. Even though she knows the truth and apparently wants to go ahead with the vows anyway, speaks volumes, but Ridge won't see it like that. He will be so mad at Thomas that his rage will be focused on him and no one else. Ridge should be mad at himself too for allowing all of this to take place, but that will never happen because he is way too sanctimonious and feels he is never at fault for anything. He may or may not go ahead with marrying Taylor but I suspect if he does, she will see that Ridge is conflicted and she will be the actual one to decide not to go ahead as planned. As I have been saying for a while now, I want both women to kick him where it hurts. He needs to feel pain for how he so abruptly ended his marriage and went straight to another. I mean really, how old do you have to be to have just a little common sense, and not be as stupid as Ridge appears?

Her son did. I am curious to see if, A. Ridge even asks her if she knew upstairs, and was going to marry him anyway? B. She pretends, and Steffy lets her, like this is the first time she is hearing about the call? C. If she throws it back on Ridge and says "I didn't think it was overly important to deal with it right now, as you are marrying me NOT because of the call, as you said. So, I decided we should go ahead with our special day, and then deal with the call."
