in the same episode and in the span of a few seconds, he professed his undying love to both brooke and katie, seriously? after multiple years of him fighting to win katie back, albeit offscreen, in less than a minute all that got thrown out the window, how can the character be taken seriously?

I don't see Bill as any worse than Ridge who says he loves both Brooke and Taylor. The women should force him to choose one, and the other should be done with him for good.

Maybe this is to tear Bill down to Ridge’s level since many say Bill is better than Ridge.
Bill does love Katie. He loves her fire and fight but he also wants to do his own thing without being nagged.

Maybe this is to tear Bill down to Ridge’s level since many say Bill is better than Ridge.

I have seen some fans rooting for BRILL, thinking Bill would be the better partner, but Bill in the past has already been written to quickly switch between the women (and had been ready to rename the Stella Maris twice).
When his wife Brooke turned her back on Bill, Bill quite easily shifted his feelings to Steffy and even kinda became obsessed with her (put his feelings for Steffy even before his relationship with his own son) when he then even blackmailed Steffy.
But soon later Ridge was back to loving Katie and wanting to be a family with her, raising their son together.
Then he has kissed Brooke again, even when he was involved with Katie. But then he was focused again on winning Katie back (when Brooke was only interested in Ridge).......

Ridge has always been clear that he loves Brooke. He's only settling for Taylor because he thinks Brooke lied to him. He has said more than once that he does love Taylor but only as the mother of his kids.

Bill is pretty sleazy, but I still enjoy watching him more than dumb Ridge

And he used to criticize Liam for going back and forth between women. He looks like a big joke.

The writer's wanted to assassinate his character because of the Brill fans....make him look like a total ass so Ridge could slime his way back to Brooke with no interruptions....they basically threw him under a train
