Back when Phoebe was on the show and the night Taylor killed Darla. Wasn’t there some young homeless guy that saw what happened? He turned out to be bad and was obsessed with Phoebe. Cannot remember his name. He drowned from Nick’s boat I believe. However; wasn’t it that Ridge was involved and he ran to Paris leaving Nick in jail for the killing? Brooke had to talk Ridge to come back. For whatever reason Ridge didn’t go to prison. Just reminds me how Ridge and his tots are rather evil

I think his name was Shane...and he shot himself in front of Ridge who tried to stop him. Ridge did split town while Stephanie tried to frame Nick for Shane's death I think.

His name was Shane. He was homeless and handsome. Phoebe helped him, and he did get obsessed with her goodness. Shane shot himself in Ridge's office. He went up there with a gun to confront Ridge about Phoebe and how the Forresters did not think he was good enough, he was unhinged. Ridge tried to get the gun to stop him from, but Shane turned the gun around and shot himself. Ridge took his body and went to the Santa Monica Pier and got Nick's boat and took Shane's body out in the bay and dumped it. Ridge dumped his body overboard, and then told his mother what he did. Stephanie wanted to put the blame on Nick, and Ridge went along with it. Taylor gave her the idea. She went to Stephanie and told her that Ridge had a gun in the house when they were married and she never got rid of it, and she was afraid the cops would think she shot Shane because she killed Darla and got away with it. Her words, not mine BTW. Then she told Stephanie how Nick and Shane had gotten in a fight the day before. Taylor was married to Nick at this time. Nice wife, huh. Anyway, Stephanie decided Nick should take the fall, and Ridge went along with it and then ran away. He came back and told the truth, finally. Nick was let out of jail and Ridge went to jail. But, he was not charged with murder, just dumping a body.
