Hope - She knows Thomas since years. He doesn't look either better or worse than before. He is the same old Thomas she always knew and didn't want. She said that Thomas is attractive in the past so I have no problem with Hope admitting that he is easy on the eyes, but she suddenly changing her opinion about him now that he has been attacking her mothers marriage (I know she has no clue about the CPS call, but Thomas attacked Bridge also differently and she knows it) and after he took Douglas away for a never-ending sleepover. If this isn't Hope plotting to find out why Ridge left Brooke then it's absolutely stupid.
Paris - So she knows what Thomas has done... That he kept Beth from Hope and Liam, that he used her sister to make Hope jealous, that he threatened people... Yet she went on and on about Thomas being hot and literally wouldn't leave Hope alone. Then she told Thomas about Hope thinking that he is hot knowing this guy was obsessed with Hope. What does she even want to achieve? This girl acts like she wants Hope to cheat on her husband for some reason. It's out of character for Paris to act this way. I'm starting to think it's Thomas's fantasy.
Steffy- She talks to Hope like they are not on a war.. Like it's a part of Thomas's fantasy or something.

It's the beard!!!! Even my mom finds him more attractive (and more likable) with it. Maybe Hope sees it too. :lol

I have always found it weird that they were raised together as sister and brother yet this relationship stuff keeps coming up. It's gross. I wish Hope would have said that to Paris.

And yes, the show is making less and less sense.

That and the fact he babysat her. That means he changed her diapers. That is just plain gross.

MA has to be sick and tired of this stuff. They need to either make him an Adam Newman type bad guy, or figure a way to get him back to good guy status. But this psycho stuff is making him male Sheila, and he will have to be written in and out of the show, if that is where they are going. The guy freaking killed someone, and many other psycho things, they cannot let him skate forever with his mommy and daddy covering everything he does, up. It makes them look like what they are, rich idiots that think their pooh does not smell and their kids should get off the hook for murder, attempted murder, and everything else, but everyone else should fry. If some guy was doing this to Steffy, Taylor would have shot him by now, and thought she had the right. This makes the whole Hamilton family look really bad.

The Tridge Mafia is a crime family. The writer's have taken them well past the point of redemption, without major suffering on the characters parts. The only thing that might make his idiot parents realize just how out of control he is...is if he nearly kills Steffy on purpose. Let his resentment towards her over her getting all of Taylor's stock boil over.

Now that would be great. I would cheer him on over that one. I remember when he lost it in the office that day, Brooke and Ridge were there, along with Steffy, Eric and Taylor. He tore Taylor a new one for her favoritism, and he called Steffy a brat that blackmailed Bill and used her body to get the stock. That it was dirty.

Yep. That was a Thomas I could root for. Seems being around his sister and mother rotted his brain completely.

The whole Hamilton family is bad. That's why they look bad. I can't stand any of them, though sometimes I feel a twinge of pity for Thomas, who I believe is mentally ill rather than evil. (Who could be a member of that family and not be driven nuts?) I'd love to see him get well and renounce the whole Hamilton gang and their evil manipulations.

I really hoped that happened already with the Vinnie story when Tom actually seemed to have changed, helping to get Liam out of jail. Why in heavens they suddenly decided to go back to "bad Tom" I will never understand...why make up a whole story to redeem him if they make him a villain again with his next story?
I also think that Tom is more disturbed than just plain bad...it may have to do with his mother, we know Taylor is very unstable too.
I remember after she returned and she and Ridge were living with Tom and the twins, all teenagers already, that she once freaked out over finding a condome among Tom´s things. Instead of being glad her son is a responsible young man she said what he was thinking having a thing like that in the same house where his teenage sisters live and what if Steffy and Phoebe found it?
When he was in love with Gaby she called the authorities on her and wanted her deported...the story ended amicably, Tom´s marriage to Gaby was annulled but Gaby allowed to stay and study in the US, but for some time Tom certainly hated his mother for her behaviour.

I agree with your post, Lizzy, though I didn't see the show during that time period.

I agree that Thomas is mentally ill, and at his core, he's really a good person who wants to be a good person and a good father. He seemed well on the road to redemption until Taylor's return. I think Taylor and Steffy (who involves Thomas in her schemes and manipulations) are bad influences on Thomas and drag him down. He doesn't have the overbearing personality of his sister, thank goodness, but it does allow her to bully him. I hope Thomas manages to overcome his trouble and act like the good man he really is and be a good father to Douglas. But, for that to happen, I really think he needs to separate himself from Taylor and Steffy.

When Thomas lied about sleeping with Brooke and the truth came out, he begged Dayzee not to breakup with him and he said his family were like quicksand, the more he struggles against them, the deeper he sinks and he needed someone like Dayzee with goodness and strength to pull him out.
I think you’re right that Taylor and Steffy are bad influences who drag him down and I hope the writers just make him mentally ill, pop him on some meds and redeem him completely- he works better as a foil to Steffy than as her sidekick (or lackey!).

I hope they are not ruining the Hope Character. I am surprised about Thomas too. She had hot husband at home that loves her. Why mess with him? It makes not sense. Put Thomas with Paris, not Hope.

After being married to Liam for so long it makes perfect sense that she would get bored with his lameness and start to see the much more dynamic and handsome Thomas in a different light.

As for Paris, she has always had a mischievous and impish streak to her. It's not out of character at all for her to put a spoke in the Lope wheel. This is the same character who lusted after Finn and went behind her friend Steffy's back to tell Finn that it was OK to want to get to know Sheila, even though Steffy was adamant that shouldn't happen.
