I don't get it. It's not like she's been on the show for 30 years. She was gone for a long time.

But the character has existed for 30 years on Bold (longer on Y&R) and it has been played by the same actress. There are not many major characters, especially villains that can say that. William Bell loved the character of Sheila and I think that probably also plays a role.

When Sheila crossed over to Bold in 92 it was huge. The show went from, number 5 or 6 to the #2 positions where it has stayed. Sheila was the only reason I and many other people started watching Bold. Before that it was a show I sometimes caught a bit of after Y&R. After I was a loyal fan and have been for (gasp) 30 years. KB made that family and CBS a lot of money I understand why she would be honored. Give my girl, her flowers.

It`s kind of like when JMW was celebrating her anniversary on the show. She was off contract and off the screen for a good while too.
