Two words about the Deacon proposal..... (General)

OHHHHH BROTHER!!!

I'm starting to think it's not real. Someone on the board brought up a good point and it made me think. What does Deacon think he's gonna do with Sheila if he's marrying Brooke? He is taking care of Sheila like she's a toddler because, for the most part, she had to stay hidden. He thinks he can keep doing that while married to Brooke? Either this is someone is daydreaming or someone ain't thinking clearly -- or both.

True and not only that, if Brooke dies accept his proposal and abandons Sheila, if she gets caught Sheila bring Deacon down with her.

Yes, it would be a huge mess if Brooke and Deacon got engaged and Sheila was left to her own devices. And maybe Sheila would take it out on the tridge mafia and try to sabotage Tridge to get Ridge back with Brooke. Who knows. Maybe it could be interesting....

I'd like it if Brooke and Deacon agreed to do it to make Ridge jealous and then all this badness unfurled with Sheila. that would be a good winter plot.

I can't imagine anyone being jealous of Deacon. The Tridge Mafia would just laugh and think they got the better end of the deal, Ridge.

That's what this whole Deacon thing is about. Ridge is jealous of him. If RIdge wasn't jealous of him, he wouldn't care if he came to the house or saw Hope there or any of that. Ridge is sickenly jealous of Bill and of Deacon. He's especially jealous that Deacon has a child with Brooke.

That's what I believe anyway. I see no other reason Ridge has a problem with Deacon. Deacon is no more of a criminal than Taylor.

The difference between Deacon being a criminal and Taylor being a criminal is that Deacon has served time in jail for his crime, Taylor hasnt.

I think its real. Brooke will say no because shes not given up on ridge. Third, hope pushed him into it, saying how wonderful it will be to be a family.

Hope did not push him to do that. She told him to tell Brooke how he felt. She didn't know he had a ring. The look on his face when he produced it says she had no idea he'd go that far.

But she did flat out say about families reconnecting, reuniting and she tilted her head toward Deacon and then urged him to speak up. She may not have known he came packin’ but what else did she want to happen except for mommy and daddy to get back together. These adult children are more children than adults!

She can want her parents to hook up and start dating and still be shocked and not know that he was ready, loaded with an engagement ring, to go as far as to propose. The two can exist at once.

If I didn’t say it clearly enough I’m sorry…but that’s what I meant when I said she may not have known he came packin’…in that moment…right then and there…she didn’t expect him to propose right then…I agree…but she also did indicate might be nice to have her family back together like Ridge is with his. So I agree with you that the 2 things could exist …what she may want or think would be nice to happen but she didn’t expect it right then. I agree. I thought my comment said that. Apparently it didn’t.

You said "...but what else did she want...."

To me, that meant you were saying what else did she want if not that proposal. So that's why I said "she can want..."

this all started with the bold red above of me responding to whomever said Hope pushed him into it. By It, I think they mean the proposal. All of my responses have dealt with that comment in mind. That's why I prefer to have the quoted text from the other posts. We can better follow the train of our responses that way.
