Ridge is not worth groveling for like Brooke and Taylor repeatedly do trying to vy for his attentions. And Ridge, the absolutely heartless person he is, barely bats an eye. Brooke is breaking down trying to save their marriage, and Ridge not only refuses to say why he's upset with her, but just leaves her there alone? And all while Taylor is sitting around like a scared teenager trying to figure out whether Ridge will finally choose her? It's degrading.

Ridge is not worth groveling for like Brooke and Taylor repeatedly do trying to vy for his attentions. And Ridge, the absolutely heartless person he is, barely bats an eye. Brooke is breaking down trying to save their marriage, and Ridge not only refuses to say why he's upset with her, but just leaves her there alone? From the day Ridge allowed Brooke to move out of the Forrester Mansion, after the miscarriage and married Caroline a few months later, if Brooke didn't learn from that cruelty, than, she never will. "Have some self-respect” is not in this woman vocabulary. As for Taylor, she has had his children and spent years with him and it didn’t work out, because he couldn't leave Brooke alone, how many disappointments is enough.

I still think it’s different. Brooke is married. She is fighting for her husband who is leaving her for the wrong reasons. The man who recently called her the love of his life and made it clear she was his first choice. Maybe she has little self respect and deserves better than Ridge, but I can’t blame her for threatening to call CPS after the knife incident. I can’t blame her for going to Aspen and trying to figure out why Ridge is upset. I can’t blame her for thinking she is still the woman Ridge wants.
If Ridge divorces her, marries Taylor even after the truth came out and Brooke is still fighting for him, then she will have zero self respect. But right now she is still his wife and both have been manipulated. The most pathetic ones are Taylor and the monsters who encourage her to fight for a married man. These have no self-respect.

Taylor nor Steffy have self respect either. No woman should let neanderthal Ridge treat them that way (Brooke and Taylor), and no self respecting woman begs for sex, telling them to pretend she is another woman.

Yeah, it is. It's pretty bad. And I can't believe they hinge a whole plot on one sentence that ridge will not say. "I heard you call CPS."
All he has to say to her is that he knows she did it because he heard her. He doesn't even have to say how. And then Brooke can figure it out. But of course, he can't say it because then Taylor's gonna hear about it and his lie about choosing her is blown.
