Taylor with a Backbone (Spoilers)

KA's acting has been masterful the past few days. It's nice to see Taylor finally find some self-respect and a backbone. She loves Ridge but as she said, she's been on the marriage-go-round for decades and she's tired of it. Spoilers mention Taylor having some kind of epiphany. I don't think it's that she doesn't want Ridge or she wants to fully extricate herself from the situation. It's that she wants Ridge to either choose her or leave her alone. She's tired of the back and forth, of being the person Ridge runs to when he has a fight with Brooke. She's tired of being lead on so she wants Ridge to choose to reunite with her or stay with Brooke but she allow herself to be strung along anymore. I think that's what makes Ridge finally realize he made a colossal mistake leaving Taylor all those years ago. Taylor's always been there when she's been in town. Ridge has taken that for granted while he's been chasing his so-called "destiny" with Brooke. The thought of losing Taylor in that way will be enough to shake some sense into him.

There were times Taylor threw herself at Ridge, and he just wasn't interested. He may stay with her for a while, but eventually, he'll leave her for Brooke again. BB should just keep Ridge and Brooke together at this point.

BB should just move all three in a new direction, and put this stale triangle to rest for good. It’s a soap and these actors deserve the opportunity to work with other people and fresh material.

That would involve spending money to hire people. Not going to happen. They could have used Jack Finnegan. Someone new for Taylor would be Deacon, and they have a lot in common. They also had chemistry together. But, they are not going to do it.

Maybe Ridge would leave her alone if she wouldn't always make herself available for him, tell him how he should be with her, how they should be a happy fairy tale family and how Brooke is bad. Ridge has had opportunity to be with her but didn't bother with her. They were both single for a long time. The kids didn't even suggest he go after Taylor.

As far as her masterful acting, sorry I don't see it.

Well that will be a new plot. She’s always blaming Brooke for Ridges behavior. It’s past time she hold Ridge accountable.

I'd like to see that. I'm hoping Ridge chooses Taylor and stays with her. Let her deal with him being the caveman that he is. Let her have to endure him running over to Brooke's house when Bill shows up there. . Let them be the family Steffy and Thomas schemed to put together. And let Steffy FINALLY shut up.

Taylor's epiphany will be that she doesn't want to be second choice. But after resisting for a minute or two she'll forget the epiphany and gladly be just that.

Ridge will make a decision based on a manipulation. He may stay with Taylor when the truth comes to light but it won't change the fact that he is in love with Brooke. You can't just turn that off.

Don't think it's as much of a backbone as it is a tantrum that her plans to reunite with Ridge are not going her way. Sure she has him when he's there with his faux Forrester family, but he's still in love with Brooke. It's just a hissy fit/pity party and doesn't show any self-respect. I remember Steffy used similar words about choosing herself but she never really did. It was just another level of manipulation. Just like what Taylor is doing. She knew Steffy would call Ridge.

A backbone? The time for Taylor to have a backbone was 10 months ago. All that she's whining about now simply highlights just how shallow and patheric she is.

Highly doubt it. It's lip service, the same way Steffys epiphany was. At the slightest hint that Ridge wants her, the epiphany will go right out the window. She has tried browbeating him, flirting with him, reminding him of the past, wearing clothes that leave nothing to the imagination, even using her kids and grandkids. Nothing has worked. He still hasn't left Brooke. Eventually and out of desperation she even told Brooke Ridge was in love with her even though he has said nothing like that. Maybe she hoped that would be enough for Brooke to leave him and then he would come to her. Didn't work. So now this is the last resort. But sadly once again Ridge is going to her only because he thinks Brooke let him down. That by itself tells you it's not a lasting reunion. The moment he finds out Brooke didn't do anything wrong, he will either drop Taylor again, or if he has made her some sort of inane promise, he will stay with her and pine for Brooke the whole time. I must admit I'm looking forward to that.

All I see and hear is the repetition of words. I-I-I-I. You-you-you-you. I don’t see masterful acting…and that’s not a cut…KA is a fine enough actor but her repetition of words technique is distracting and an affectation …so it’s not so much the portrayal so much as Taylor’s changed her outlook and wants to move away from the roller coaster she’s on with Ridge and Brooke. Of course she won’t …Aspen isn’t exactly a self-imposed exile…but ….

I have no issue with her acting. She makes me not like Taylor even more. The line to her kids are even over the top sugary sweet. I mean dag they are mid to early 40, and it’s hard for me to square her not being there for her kids when she actually could.
It’s funny people fault Brooke for choosing Ridge when Rick didn’t like him, but Taylor abandoned her kids because their daddy didn’t want her! What kind of mother does that?!?!
And you don’t get to have an epiphany after you and your kids did everything you could to retake another woman’s husband but he still didn’t want you. Psychiatrist- get a real therapist who can help you!
