He trusts Hope. He just thinks she is too nice and wants to see the best in people, even when that person is 100% rotten inside. Thomas is the one he doesn't trust. With good reasons. I don't see anything wrong with these Lope conversations. They are acting like adults unlike Steffy Finn Taylor and Thomas.
If I were Liam, CPS isn't what I'd call. I would have called the police when he knocked me out, tried to throw me off the roof and kidnap the mother of my child. I would have made sure he rots in jail for many years and never hurts anyone again.

He's just worried, that's all. And with good reason. It could go either way with Thomas. He may be changed and he may not be. Hope is in a tough spot. If she trusts Thomas too much she could get hurt. If she challenges him too much Douglas could get hurt.
