Brooke would let it slide if it would be someone else holding the knife.

Would Thomas had been waving the knife in someone else's face? he has threatened others before including Douglas.

She isn't wrong that he hasn't changed. She isn't wrong that he is still obsessed with her daughter. She isn't wrong that he is manipulating and wants to ruin her marriage. She isn't wrong that he yelled at her and vowed to make her disappear. And she isn't wrong that he brandished a knife and pointed it at her. Douglas wasn't helping Thomas cutting vegetables and Thomas wasn't teaching him it's a dangerous and deadly weapon. On the contrary, he was joking with it. How old is Douglas? The actor looks older but the character is 3 years older than Kelly. No more than 8 years, so. You don't joke and brandish dangerous knives near a 8 years old child who has been abused by his dad in the past. Brooke is soooo right

In the kitchen, with a cutting board and a paring knife, sure. Not in the living room, no cutting board, standing up, with a Buck knife. I feel like we could do a Sesame Street learning moment with this scenario.

Really? So, the lack of a cutting board makes it dangerous? I feel like this is a Sesame Street teaching moment that people cut, prepare and eat fruits and vegetables with whatever knife they feel comfortable using and have at the ready, and they actually do it in more rooms than the kitchen. And kids learn and cut and eat right alongside their parents, and no one calls cps because mommy or daddy is using a knife in front of junior.

Well, that's the magic question. Who is going to call CPS?

I have to admit. I never once as a child was allowed to cut fruit or vegetables with a knife, anywhere but in the kitchen, on a cutting board, definitely not while I was holding the fruit in midair with one hand, cutting with the other, while standing in the living room.. And yes, the lack of a cutting board does make it dangerous if you are a little kid. And I cannot imagine letting any child use any knife, they find comfortable. LOL. Should they take dad's vintage Samurai Sword off the wall and use it, if they feel like that is what they want to use? LOL.

And again, yes the lack of a cutting board makes any cutting dangerous. That is one of the things chef's are taught, along with colored coded cutting boards to make sure there is no cross contamination.

They weren't in the kitchen cutting vegetables.
There is a gadget that can be used for Douglas to place over the apple and it would slice and core it at the same time.
Thomas took that knife and stabbed the apple. He held it up and cut it. That is not how to show a young boy how to cut anything. What if Thomas had left the knife and Douglas picked it up to show Kelly how his dad cuts apples. One of the little ones could have gotten hurt.

If Thomas wants to teach Douglas how to cut vegetables let him do it in the kitchen in a safe manner.

If he wants to teach Douglas how to cut fruit, let him start with a banana and a plastic knife.

But they weren't in the kitchen and it wasn't a kitchen knife. It was a buck knife and it was waved at Brooke while she was being yelled at.
