Ridge will never be held accountable for the right thing. He was a good parent and honestly Brooke was a great stepmother until Taylor‘s return. She was supposed to just get up and go and forget about RJ and move out of the way so Taylor could move back in. That’s the story they are telling. What makes this such a backward story to me is that Ridge is accountable for interfering in Brooke’s life repeatedly. So they’re not gonna hold him accountable for all the women he’s been with. I’m actually really done I haven’t been watching but to hear that Thomas given his history said these awful things to Brooke is so sexist.

You must not have watched the show back then, because that is not what happened at all. She did marry Eric. While married to Eric he gifted her a lab to work in doing research on fabric. He did not hire her at FC, the HR at FC did not hire her, they did not pay her, they did not even have her sign an NDA or a contract of any kind. This meant that anything she created in the lab that was a GIFT to her, was hers. She created BeLief. FC used BeLief on their fabric and it was set to make them millions of dollars. Eric was married to Sheila, Ridge was married to Taylor. Instead of just asking her for the rights, they decided to trick her into it. First, they sent their attorney Steve over to her house to pretend he was a masseuse and seduce Brooke. That did not work. Then they got Ridge to use her feelings for him to sign her rights away, he made it sound like he was going to leave Taylor for Brooke. Brooke signed the papers, then Ridge told her he was not leaving Taylor and took the papers and left. Only dunderhead took an unsigned copy and not the original signed one. Brooke had it. She showed her lawyer Connor, and he told her she could get millions for it, but she decided to sign it over to FC anyway. While in the meeting to sign it over to them, their lawyer who pretended to be a masseuse walked in, and Brooke realized they had tried to scam her. She got furious and tore up the paperwork and told them if they wanted BeLief the price was 51% of FC. And that was a valid deal. They could accept it or not. They accepted it. So no, she was not a gold digger, she used her WEDDING gift from Eric to create something, that they tried to scam from her, when all they needed to do was ask. They could have said no, and then she could have just sold it to another fashion house.

So you are dead wrong and so was Thomas today. Brooke has never been a gold-digger. Unlike Taylor, Brooke put herself through college. She was the best CEO and most profitable CEO FC ever had, and she invested her money well. That is the reason when Ridge did not have the full amount for his 25% of FC to pay Bill, he borrowed from Brooke.

Golddiggers don't make their own money, they go to spas in Ojai and go shopping on Rodeo Drive (with their husband's credit card like Quinn did) while their husbands work. Brooke save FC with BeLieF, and you can't steal what you already own.

Granted, Quinn did design beautiful jewelry for FC and made them money, but not like Brooke did. Does anyone really think Quinn would have given Eric a second look if he hadn't been some so-called "famous" designer and wealthy? I sure don't.

This show is stuck in the early 60's where men were everything and anything a woman could want or need. These female characters are being written so horribly. From the cleavage baring underwire push up bras, to the no bras in sateen clothing to the bickering over a man, to the proclamation from a supposed female CEO that all her mother needs to fulfill herself is a good lay from her daddy, to a middle aged man denigrating his step mother by referring to her in degrading terms as a floozie gold-digger who only knew how to wiggle her rear and prance around in underwear. Seriously? This is the WOMAN that saved the family company from becoming has-beens. Made them millions with BeLief through her research. And, forgave him for lying about sex to demean her to his father. And she championed him as the lead designer for the Men's Wear Line. And this is how he pays her back, by using sexist language and berating her marriage? And Ridge is no better. He is a sexist pig. I loathe Taylor, and still do not believe she ever went to college, let alone med school, but supposedly she did. But, they write her as some giggly, rah rah cheerleader for Ridge, her reason for living and breathing. She basically has said, she could not live her life without Ridge so she hid away in Africa instead of being with her children and grandchildren. Come on. That is nonsense. And Steffy is the worse of the lot. She is suppose to be a strong woman, yet she is the weakest link and acts like a pouty spoiled little girl. Her coyness is so viscous, I am not even sure Kerosene would cut through it. Hope is the most normal acting for 2022. But even she put up with cheating Liam, though she did kick him out and he had to grovel and work to win her back. And Brooke is bad too. She has an advanced degree in Chemistry, was the best CEO FC every had, raised children on her own, has made all her own money, gave up a lot of her money to keep Stephanie out of prison and to help Ridge buy back FC stock, she is beautiful, and yet here she is, groveling to the Neanderthals demands.

This show is demeaning and insulting to all women.

Today's tirade by Thomas makes me think of this.

Wow, so Bell has put all women into 2 categories on this show. Can it get anymore sexist than that? I hate to use this term, but I think BB should try and get a little "woke" if you know what I mean. They are really archaic when it comes to writing the female characters. We have one strong normal woman on this show, and it is Hope. And she even gave a pass to a cheating husband.

Women are definitely doormats. I guess this is somebody’s fantasy.
