When did Ridge choose Taylor because he loved her more? (General)

Ridge STAYED married to Taylor in 1992 even AFTER being told that Bridget was his daughter.

So no one can say that Ridge annulled his 1998 marriage to Brooke because he found out Thomas was his son. He did that because he was IN LOVE WITH TAYLOR and was even shown thinking of Taylor and regretting what they had lost in late 1997 while engaged to Brooke.

Ridge shed BITTER TEARS when he was told that Thomas was Thorne's because he wanted so badly to FINALLY have a family with Taylor. Ronn Moss should have won an Emmy for those scenes!!

Also Ridge REFUSED to leave Taylor for Brooke in 2001 despite all of Brooke's attempts to seduce him - even stripping naked for him in gis office while he had 3 tiny kids at home - and EVEN after finding out that Taylor went along with Stephanie and Massimo's scheme to lure Brooke to Paris on the pretext that her father was dying.

It's only AFTER 2006 that Ridge would keep picking his "Logan" - and that was mainly because he didn't want Nick or Bill to get her.

I can't think of a time when Ridge chose Taylor over Brooke without any manipulations, lies or pregnancies or feelings of obligation. Was there ever a time when he just chose Taylor because he loved her more? Please help if there was because I don't remember one. He chose her because of his concern for Eric, because he was manipulated to think Brooke was cheating, because his mother faked a heart attack, because she had his babies and because people made up lies about what Brooke did like Berrygate. I can't think of any time when he just chose Taylor because she was the love of his life. Did I miss something?

None to my recollection. Taylor never really had a "clean win" in regards to getting Ridge. She always depended on manipulations, whether her own, or someone else's, or misunderstandings,to tip things in her favor. It's why Taylor is never secure even when she has Ridge in her bed...she's always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I cannot think of one time. He did seem to love her when she was dying several times. If that counts? LOL. He danced her body around the room when she was dying from being shot. He mourned her death in the plane crash. He moaned when she was dying of TB. I think Ridge loves Taylor best when she is dying or dead. LOL

Around the time of Bridget's birth, Brooke tried to force Ridge to "make a choice" between her and Taylor (even though he had made no indication that he wasn't committed to his marriage to Taylor despite Brooke's ongoing efforts to split them up) and he chose Taylor over Brooke even though he thought Bridget was his daughter.

Brooke was then an interlude default and rebound
Brooke was the one who constantly needed manipulations and guilt trips to get a shot
Ridge chose to pursue Taylor and marry her when he could have Brooke who made clear she would never return to Eric anyway
He chose Taylor when Bridget was declared his. Eric was dating Sheila nothing could stop him as Taylor offered an easy divorce. Brooke could give him a kid and BLF as a bonus but he loved his wife and wanted a family’s with her
When Taylor cancelled their wedding over the Marina run Brooke offered an annulment bc her marriage was not yet consumated
When Brooke’s marriage to Grant was found illegal, Taylor had dumped him. He rejected her advances.

Ridge didn’t CHOOSE to marry Brooke over Taylor during all these years. He married her only by DEFAULT after Taylor was dead or had dumped him bc she supposedly had chosen Thorne.

After Taylor died and left for years Ridge settled for Brooke and had RJ.
Ridge only retuned to her after Taylor admitted the BBB, not because he couldn’t live without Brooke (and RJ)

After that he stayed with Brooke but Taylor was gone most of time … and even then Ridge chose many others over Brooke

He chose Taylor ALL THE TIME. Brooke tried her best. Seduction, faking a pregnancy & faking a miscarriage. Brooke was the schemer to get Ridge but she failed. She only got Ridge when Taylor "died", twice.
