Ridge couldn’t forgive the hypocrisy (General)

It looks like it's working out fine. Or was until Taylor came back and decided she never got over him and wanted him back. And recruited her kids to accomplish her mission.

You call Brooke and Ridge's up and down, hot and cold relationship fine?? Taylor came back but Ridge was the one who came to her and told her that he wanted to come home. And not once has she told Steffy or Thomas to campaign on her behalf. She has always told them that she and Ridge would figure it out on their own. She just needs to do it more forcefully.

Yes they were fine until Sheila spiked Brookes drink, with the misguided notion that that would make Ridge go back to Taylor. So indirectly, it again comes back to Taylor, although of course Taylor was not to blame for that. Once Ridge found out the truth, he hightailed it back to Brooke. He told her he wants to come home and that he loves her. But the brats and Taylor just won't leave him alone. Brooke and Ridge may still have some things to work out but that's between them. No one has a right to interfere in their marriage but Taylor and her kids take every opportunity to do so.

She may pay lip service of course and tell her kids not to do anything, but the encouragement is there. Playfully throwing grapes at Thomas while laughingly telling him to stop is encouragement. Making fun of Brookes marriage and Brookes injury with both her kids is encouragement. Hyping up the one kiss in Monaco that Ridge hasn't even thought about again is encouragement. Joining Steffy in bad-mouthing Brooke when she knows she has her own faults and so does Steffy, is encouragement. Making sure her kids see her constantly making gaga eyes at their dad and touching him and telling him I love you at every opportunity in front of her kids is encouragement.

So yes while Taylor may not have used those exact words to encourage her kids, her actions and her passive aggressive attitude is 100% encouraging them.

Ridge and Brooke are fine in snippets of time. Something is always happening and then they are at odds again. Happiness is fleeting for them. Maybe that's the life that Ridge wants but I think it is starting to get tiresome for him. But its the life he chose and I want him to stick with it. Stay away from Tay. She's happy to be back with her meddling kids and beautiful grandkids. She's good whatever choice Ridge makes.

Yes, ideally that's how it should be. But the one time he told her he was staying with Brooke she threw a huge tantrum and dropped a fruit bowl, lol. But having said that, I actually liked her for once in that episode when she refused his hug. I might have even continue to tolerate her if she had maintained that attitude.

Whatever happens between Brooke and Ridge, whether they break up or not, needs to happen organically. Maybe then he will naturally gravitate towards Taylor. Maybe not. Either way, I'm not sure why these guys don't understand that even if they do manage to force Ridge to choose Taylor he will not have closure with Brooke and hence they will always be looking over their shoulders and eventually he will go back to Brooke. If life with Brooke is tiresome he knows he has another option that's begging him to choose her. No one has shackled him to Brooke.

Except the reason the happiness is fleeting for them...is because they have people like Ridge's brats constantly harassing them. And Taylor is far from happy...otherwise she wouldn't be chasing a married Ridge. She'll never be satisfied without him...as she's proven by blowing her relationships with other men because she couldn't let her feelings for Ridge go. And she'll never be satisfied with him...because she'll know she's just a rebound. She needs a good shrink.

I disagree. I think Ridge wants a life with Brooke. He just said the other day..."Brooke is the woman I love". The New Year's Eve incident was because of a manipulation by Sheila. And if they break up in this story, the chances are high that it will be because of a manipulation by Steffy and/or Thomas.
