In late 2011 he left Nikki bleeding unconscious and took photos. When she had suspiscions about Diane's "death", he caught her searching informations in his laptop. He approached her from behind with a scarf and tried to strangle her to death. Nikki was miraculously saved because of Victoria's unexpected arrival. This is the only reason why she is still alive today : his attempt was interrupted at the last second. (Kind of like Sheila tried to silence Steffy at the hospital but Liam's arrival thwarted her attempt.) Then he kidnapped Nikki and who knows what was gonna happen if the police had arrived later. Deacon was only arrested for kidnapping and obstruction of justice but the police and Nikki never knew the ugliest crimes.

I'm sure long-term Y&R fans also remember his baggage with Ray and Amber. Another kidnapping/accessory to murder story. B&B fans probably remember he went along with Eve when he believed she was going to kill Adam. His recent attempts to shoot Quinn weren't an isolated event. He is capable of cold-blooded murder just like Sheila, so it isn't too shocking he is stashing her in his bed.

I have never liked Deacon although initially they tried to sell this nice version!
All bets are off now that he has harbored this fugitive!
And what I really want is for something to happen to Hope because of Sheila and everyone know Deacon kept her and for Ridge to save Hope!
Because the other thing that the writers forget is that Hope looked at Ridge as her father and he looked at Hope as his daughter!
That should have stayed that way. And they still could have angst because Hope, just like right now, would try to keep the peace. And Steffy would try to stir trouble!
