No fictional show with made up characters should ask fans to question the reality of what they saw on their television screens. There’s nothing wrong with being creative or changing how things turned out as in Ridge is Mossimo’s son because we learned from the beginning that Steffy and Eric had a shotgun wedding because she was pregnant. What we are seeing now is alternate reality. That works better in movies and typically you know in advance what you’re dealing with. Why one show would alienate so many in its fan base makes no sense.

If it's gaslighting, it won't work...at least not with me.
The more they change history, the more they whitewash Taylor and bash Brooke, the more I will remember what really happened back then. :roll

I think show thinks changing history of show is new. They don’t see that as long as it involves the same people, it’s not new.

If they are new viewers they are getting what they think is new stuff. They wouldn't know about dragged out reruns because being new viewers they haven't seen them.

How many TV shows do you stream without binge watching the seasons you missed, first? A soap opera in not like Seinfeld, or BBT, it is the continuing story, not a one off tv show. In comedy shows they call the writing that is going on with BB right now, "rubber band reality" and it works in comedies. There is also the term for TV shows called "the reset button technique" used in drama to kill off a main character, but does not work when you only reset the history of one character. That is called a flaw in continuity. They could be doing a reboot, but it is tricky and usually fails for the show. Also, a reboot means they are bringing back the show, or in this case the character, but keeping the past in tact. Like Full House, to Fuller House, or One Day at a Time with reboot to L.A. with a cuban-american family.

There are very few new viewers. It is mostly people that have been watching at least 10 years. And, in 10 years Taylor and Steffy have done a lot of immoral and dirty deeds So, there is no excuse for this nonsense being thrown at us now.

They'll never get me back as a viewer by doing those things.

Based on the downward slide the ratings are on...they're not bringing in any new viewers either.

The problem is they damage the show's integrity by flagrantly disregarding history. To make it so bad, it's a history they publish on Youtube, where everyone can see that what is being said now is a bunch of BS. It's bizzare. You might can get away with it if we didn't have youtube, but we do. And they post the truth right there on it.

Bell Jr is being an idiot. He's throwing his show down the drain. I guess he doesn't care.

Maybe he’ll get cancelled like Days.
