If Thomas Isn't Using Douglas To Break Up Bridge (General)

Then why did he use Douglas' need for his grandfather and eating cereal together and the sharing of stories to try to get Ridge to move into Eric's and away from Brooke?

Brooke is right. Hope is beginning to see it. Douglas is being used by Thomas, Steffy and Taylor to rip apart Bridge.

Now don't get me wrong. I hope Bridge is put to rest in the coming weeks. My dream is that Brooke is the one to end this toxic relationship. However, Steffy and Thomas standing there today yammering nonsense and claiming innocence about Thomas' play for Douglas was downright insulting. Are they both truly that pathological?

Yes...they truly are. I really believe that Thomas and Steffy are sociopaths...they have shown 0 concern or remorse in regards to anything they do. They don't care that their father wants Brooke...they're determined to force him to be with their delusional mother. They don't care that Hope provided a stable and loving home for Douglas...they just want him back with the "Forresters", like spoiled children, that don't want anyone else to have the toy they didn't want to play with. A better written show would have the courts look into the toxic environment of the Tridge Mafia...and immediately order the removal of all children from the homes.

Spot on with the sociopath descriptor for both. Breaks rules or laws? Check. Behaves aggressively or impulsively? Check. Feels little guilt for harm they cause others? Check. Uses manipulation, deceit, and controlling behavior? Check.

That's one calm family. :lol

I would believe that if he had shown interest in the bait before Taylor and Steffy showed him what a wonderful weapon he is in their battle arsenal against the Logans. Before that Thomas was content with his playboy lifestyle,

Tom wants Ridge to move into Eric's and is using Douglas to make that happen. There is everything wrong with that.

I agree. If he didn't spend time with Douglas, then he would be seen as uncaring. He may be using the situation to convince Ridge to stay with them for a while. But I don't see him using Douglas.

I disagree. The minute Thomas brought Douglas into the equation to convince Ridge to leave Brooke was Thomas using Douglas.

I think it's pretty clear he is also using Douglas to trap Hope. Had they not shown Thomas having Hope flashbacks, looking at these memories on his phone and professing his everlasting love to Hope, maybe - just MAYBE - I'd think he is sincere this time. But this flashback of himself kissing Hope at the cabin had nothing to do with Douglas. His obsession (or love, whatever) is still there and he didn't even deny it when Liam brought it up earlier this week. Impossible to value anything Thomas says about Douglas, after that. He would lock Douglas up alone in a storage room again if Hope dropped her panties for him. Just like after they signed the custody papers and he assumed Hope wanted to "celebrate". lol

I didn't see it that way at first but you're right. He and Taylor are also using Douglas to drive a wedge between Ridge and Brooke. This poor kid is just a pawn, an object for the Hamilton gang. He will always be used for some reason. If only Douglas was a few years older and knew 1% of the things his father did, ... he would never stop throwing up

I'm ready for Ridge to go, too, but yeah, I don't know why in the heck Thomas thinks telling Ridge to move in with him and Douglas isn't using Douglas to interfere in Ridge's marriage.
